Is he being held back? He only returned to light training a few weeks ago!
He ruptured cruciate and medial ligaments, plus the tendons to his hamstring.
It's a massive injury.

I can't wait to see hm back, but only when he's truly ready. His rehab shouldn't be rushed for anything.

He'll be miles off, FFS. He's had what 40mins of a U23 game where he came off feeling his hamstring. Klopp will be referring to that. Not 100% wrt the first team.

Having him in first team training though is a boost for him and the team probably.

I'd love to see him get a five minute cameo before the end of the season, somehow.

He'll get a few mins here and there, not quite sure whether he'll feature a great deal. have to be careful even if he is bursting to play. Has a whole career ahead of him. Great boost for him and us though, delighted for him.

we have a big squad; no way will he be on the bench anytime soon at the expense of Lallana, shaq, studge, Derek & 1 of Hendo, millie, wij, fab.

He will play a role at the end of the season, I am convinced. He will be getting fitter every day and no reason not to use him if he is ready.

I think we should be guarded regarding Ox's return. The injury he sustained was horrific. A career ender a generation or two ago. It's great that he's nearing full fitness but what sort of player he'll be upon his return remains to be seen.

- v optimistic to expect him to make a ‘contribution’ this season, from a knee perspective it’s as bad an injury as you get.

Anyone who saw him jogging around for 40 mins in the u23 match will have seen he is far aaay from a first team return - especially when we have 10-13 cup finals left.

Paddy's Day and it's still up! We've hit an all time new low. Bank Holiday tomorrow so I might take it down.

Its a bank holiday - you should take it easy. Still plenty of time to take it down.

I don't even mean this season. I mean his career going forward. If he can return to his pre-injury level then i'll be made up for the lad and it'll be a massive boost to the club.

As i said before i think people are seriously underestimating just how serious this injury was.

I predict a Lucas/Henderson type scenario with Ox. His reputation has grown massively since he's been out and all the fans love him. When he comes back, he naturally won't be at the level he was before. After a while there will be a few moans from the usual suspects. Then the revisionism kicks in, "Was he ever that good?", "He only ever played a handful of decent games for us", "I always said he's shit". Counter arguments will ensue and this will continue until he eventually leaves.
