Probably something to do with Raiola being his agent

I just don’t see him as being the player they need right now.

He looks like a poacher, a big, raw, work horse type forward without the technical ability. Lukaku didn’t make the grade with a similar skill set but with years of prem experience because they didn’t play to his strengths... and nothing has changed.

He’ll cost a fortune too.

Still, Ole’s at the wheel and he’s not put a foot wrong..!

Yes he does but apparently he wants an enormous signing on fee, inflated wages and his agent wants a huge brokerage for pushing the player towards United

This is similar to the De Ligt deal, he had a clause but Juventus ended up smashing that by having to pay agents fees to Raiola

Raiola got £11m in fees for doing the De Ligt deal and apparently wants £20m fees for the Haaland deal

I have probably said this before but I think UEFA/FIFA should legislate to prevent agents taking such huge fees it should be limited to a small % of any deal 1% or 2% max and any additional fees should not be born by the clubs

The only thing this might do is push the players wages demands up as they will always try and find a way to get their pound of flesh

They obviously have a clear vision there... get rid of a lump like lukaku (albeit a lump that is proven at this level), as he did not fit the intended style & 5 months later replace him with a lump, but unproved............

There is a massive element of lets "hold" where we are at OT at the moment. Money is still rolling in despite lack of champions league.

Ole gives them a degree of time to try and work out what to do, hence little action. I'm. hearing scary numbers on infrastructure at OT, Training ground and associated offices to bring them up to satisfactory standards.
Rumour has it the changing rooms hav been infested with rodents (right next to railway line also) and given players eat after games etc, it pretty full on.

There is a serious lack of investment/interest from the owners, and its not going to change soon.

Won't ask you to divulge your sources but it's heartening to hear them going through so much crap. And therefore having to settle with mediocrity for the medium term. About time.

Classy fans they have. Instead of supporting their own team away at Watford, they've been singing about LFC/scousers pretty much most of the 1st half. Embarrassing.

What I find bizarre about it is that despite their chants being loud and clear, no pundits ever call them up on it.

This seems to happen at all their games but obviously they're annoyed we won yesterday and hence giving it more energy.

Enjoy mid table & losing out on a champions league place again

De Gea is one of the worst in the division and has been for 18months +

So naturally they made him the highest paid goalie in the world. Long may he stay!

Two more enjoyable stats:

- Since saving a Leighton Baines penalty in October 2014, David de Gea has failed to save any of the last 15 penalties he has faced in the Premier League. Among goalkeepers to face 20 or more, only Paul Robinson (6%) has saved a lower percentage than de Gea (8%, 2/25) in Premier League history.

- Jesse Lingard has now gone over 25 hours without registering either a goal or assist in a Premier League game, last doing so in December 2018 against Huddersfield Town (one assist).

A lot of the infrastructure is now leaking into the mainstream, almost all journalists hate OT beacuse of WIFI and facilities they are in. the senior staff hate also as they are working in dirty places, kitchens being closed, and soft furnishings being beyond hygienic. Too many plasters on show at OT, far too many, something will have to give.

Interesting

The one thing I dont think people should under-estimate is that often to get it right on the pitch you have to get it right off it

I was listening to the Sunday Supplement (the sports journo show on Sky) and they were commenting how well run LFC is and that everyone is pulling in the same direction from the commercial side to the sporting staff

They then talked about United and said after being the by-word for being well run through the 90's and early 2000s they are now struggling massively with incompetence at many levels throughout the club

Fucking glorious isnt it
