In all fairness if LFC get £30 million even in the current transfer market....and considering Sakho's history, that will be brilliant.

Hopefully all our possible deals will be concluded by then
That sky transfer deadline farce is mind numbingly dull.
In fact I'd goes as far as to say it's shit.
Cub reporters standing outside training grounds all day with nothing to report and being told to F off by all and sundry. Then as soon as they actually "go live" a bunch of local scallies on bikes start yelling and swearing much to their delight and the reporters shagrin, then Harry turns up in his "motor" winds the window down and denies he's doin any deals today even though he's turned up at the office at a quarter to ten at night like ya do, basically its all a bit shit really.

Liverpool would receive £20m up front for Sakho, plus a number of clauses related to Premier League survival and cup success. (@eaamalyon)
£20 Million it is then.

Could he now be staying with no movement on VVD?

No way imo. We'll recoup about £30m for him tomorrow I reckon and VVD in. Fingers crossed.

They're not signing both tho who else was interested, Leicester and West Brom? Whichever club is left without Johnny Evans will probably try to get Sakho.
Johnny Evans ffs, a preferred choice to Sakho

I feel even though Sakho was cleared of that ban substance fiasco, it has still somehow tarnished his reputation in many clubs eyes. (just an opinion)
I also feel the fact that his attitude and disruptive manner was made so public also plays a huge part in him not being sort after. (also just an opinion) Other wise why are so few ready to offer him a way out to play football again..
It's not the price because he is a bloody good footballer and worth 25/30mil in today's market without question. Strange one really.

I think a lot of clubs expected us to become desperate and drop the price closer to the deadline. £30m for a CB rules out a lot of mid-level European clubs who I'm sure would have loved him, so that's why I think it's only few PL teams showing genuine interest.

he virtually single handedly saved palace from relegation last year. you'd think this is worth much more than 30m to many clubs.
im looking at you, arsenal...

Does anyone know if he is training with the first team? If so then rehabilitation, as unlikely as it seems, wouldn't be completely out of the question.

Yes. It was always unlikely but that option can be put to bed now. If he was a bit less of a twat things could have worked out so much better

Just happy the unprofessional helmet has gone. Having a player like him just hanging around isnt a good thing. Anyways good luck to him and hopefully he wises up or he will be in the "Where are they now" thread prematurely

Oh wow... Golly... Gee Whiz...
I wonder who we will replace him with, because we all know Klopp wouldnt be silly enough to play half the season with only three senior centrebacks in an already injury prone squad... right?
Meh!

If I recall, Palace found an alternative and they were the only buyer in the room for Sakho.
So what do you do? We got an extra mill from their rejected offer.
