He reminds me of a left footed Sol Campbell, although better on the ball.

Sahko looks like a good addition to the squad, at times though he seems to have little brain explosions or takes a wee bit too long on the ball, will need to get rid of those if he is to become top class.
I don't think many other centre backs that played over the weekend had it as easy as the french ones against the aussies, was a complete stroll in the park.
A good start to his LFC career all things considered!

I disagree about his heading ability. Whilst he wins the majority of headers, he doesn't clear the ball properly. It's almost like he has a 50p head

His heading has been excellent, you can't always send a ball 30 yards up the pitch

I mentioned that after his first game. All his headers went back to the opposition and immediately put us back under pressure. He's quelled it a bit since though

In his first game, his headed clearences were so bad but it was his first game in a while so all can be forgiven. But they haven't improved significantly enough yet which is a concern. If Skrtel was doing the same, he'd be getting destroyed by the fans.

In that first game we faced a lot of high balls, in the games since we haven't as much

Did we? We played Swansea. I'm sure we would have faced more high balls against the teams we have played since

I made the same point earlier.
His timing is off as he jumps way too early.
Even in that comp there were 2 instances that demonstrate that.
He has physical predispositions to be a beast in the air but his header technique imo requires improvement.

Haha...
Thats exactly how I used to describe Traore.
Lets hope that that he sorts it out (perhaps a sanding machine), and that his feet are fully under contol... Especially at the price we paid. In fact its slightly distressing that a comparion, no matter how slight, can be made.
Traore... he really was the worst player ever.

You've clearly forgotten Paul Stewart, Torben Piechnik, Bjorn Tor Kvarme, Julian Dicks, Nicky Tanner..............
At least Djimi has a champions league medal!

I'm not sure you can put Torben in amongst that lot. Bad as they were, he was clearly not in their class.

And a League and FA Cup medal apparently. To think, the only team to comeback from 3 goals and a man down in the Champions League final.
No, I stand by Djimi Traore. Possibly one of the worst players I have seen anywhere. I think the only good thing he ever did for us was nearly decapitating Pennant when playing for Charlton.
Istvan Kozma, may have been up there, did not really get a good look at him. Ditto Mark Kennedy. Michael Thomas was another player I hated, completely fucking useless, apart from the odd wondergoal.

You'd imagine Sakho shouldn't have too much bother getting back in the France first team ahead of Koscielny and Abidal if he settles in our first team.

He certainly has a realistic chance to get into starting lineup again.
Koscielny is too much error prone and Abidal played very little since early 2011 and is already 34 so if Sakho could get some quality minutes this season with us he could easily be the starting CB at WC.

One thing I like a lot about him is that he doesn't just lump the ball up the field, he always looks for a pass, now that might not work all the time against better opposition and could cause undue pressure from time to time but it is refreshing to see how confident he is in his own abilities to play the ball out from the back

Always forward if possible aswell, cuts the first line of pressing out from the opponents and we're on our way attacking. He's boss.

No love for Sakho? I thought he played very well and some of his tackles were timed very well with maximum force!

Good signing for me, he's settled into the side pretty quickly so far.
So well in fact I struggle to see how Agger is going to get his place back at the moment

He's a great tackler no doubt. But IMO Agger is much better than him

I still do not get this, why we have so much love for Agger... IMO good ole skeletor is better than Agger as a DEFENDER, i think Sakho will get better but i still don't get why Agger keeps on getting rated highly, he has been consistently good for lfc///but over the course of 2-3 years? nope that has to be the slovak as a DEFENDER...

We're better defensively with Agger in the team mate, that's a fact.
2013/14 League Stats:
When Agger starts : 4 games, 3 clean sheets and 1 goal conceded.
When Agger does not start : 5 games 0 clean sheets and 6 goals conceded.
Oh and Skrtel is still a liability, always has been and always will be.
IMO.

What don't you get: my opinion? Or the fact the stats prove that we are better defensively when Agger plays? And did I say Agger is our best defender? My advice - go back to sleep.

Our current back three are doing well, but I still think Agger's one of our best players and it'd be good to get him back in the team.
Not sure who for though as Toure, Skrtel and Sakho have done well recently. But like the stats show; we're concede less with Agger in the team.

Liability is a bit harsh but I'd defo be getting Agger back in for him ASAP. He's ok but even yesterday he could have given away 2 pens and got completely done by that ball to Anelka (which he did well to rectify to be fair).

I'd like to see 4 at the back again. Johnson - Skrtel - Agger - Enrique. Our full backs do not attack any more when we play 4 or 5 at the back.

Agger would probably slot in Skrtel's place in that back 3, ideally, as a sweeper/libero. But Skrtel is doing well at the moment.

Agger is more technically polished but Sakho is much more physical.
They bring slightly different things to our squad and regardless of the fact they are both left-footed I'd still play them together.
