Shit decision to go to the line.

It's not like the England lineout has been solid for the last 5 or so years.

Tried watching that, but I just get bored watching union & end up not really paying attention. Too much kicking.

I really wanna like rugby cos it's a more honest, primal sport than footy but just can't get the enthusiasm.

Completely.

But you can imagine the adrenaline rush, in a split second, that impels you to go for the win.

And then the sinking feeling when reality catches up, and it all goes to shit as the percentages predicted.

A draw would have been a decent result. And even though it was a tricky kick - even a miss and you have Wales returning the ball to England with 2 mins to go again.

Massive decision.

England were really in control there, poor English discipline has kept Wales in the game, and then a catastrophic last 10.

With the 3 injuries you just could not see Wales winning that.

England absolutely threw that away. They dominated that game but the arse fell out of them the last 10.

Robshaw has got caught up in the moment but he is an experienced captain now and should know that a draw with Wales still to play Oz and Fiji is a good result.

Still moving forward Wales are completely fucked with injuries. Australia have just seen winning this group open right up for them.

It's going to be an absolute belter next Saturday at Twickenham.

I love watching big games like this where I have no vested interest.

Being neutral(ish) FTW

I must say, I do think the English squad of 2003 are a classy bunch. Woodward, Wilkinson and Dallaglio all speak well and don't make me seethe like past English pundits.

Inverdale can go fuck himself though

England's arse fell out of them the last 10. Kicking was world class stuff from both sides tonight. Missus says Cardiff is bouncing tonight.

Yep - England were controlling the game but they got their subs all wrong. It changed the game (especially when Ben Youngs went off). If Wales beat Fiji on Thursday, the England v Australia game next Saturday will be massive.

Cardiff will be bouncing tonight

Youngs having to go off injured was huge along with Vinipola.

Wigglesworth is shit as is Brad Barritt who offers fuck all going forward and got caught running out of position for the Wales try.

Slade has to start against Oz.

Didn't realise Youngs was injured. Thought it was a strange sub

The green army rolls into London’s Wembley stadium to face a Romanian side who put up a tough defence against the French midweek before being put to the sword, here’s the lowdown from our rugby correspondent Vaughan Hickey Horgan:

ROMANIA

Team nicknames: Ro-insanians, Oh Well They Tried Their Best, and another one written in Romanian which we couldn’t understand.

Biggest club teams: The Bucharest Ballsacks, The Steaua Buchatakearests
Strengths: occasionally proving their doubters wrong, a rich history of scientific achievement, slow assimilation into the wider EU community in 2007; benefitting from all the economic advantages that entails, home to Dracula.

Weaknesses: Losing to us in Italia ’90, can’t seem to shake their love for shitty Euro-pop, levels of corruption in sections of society convinced Fianna Fáil to set up an outreach programme to Romanians politicians in 2009.

Starplayer: Florin Vlaicu

Florin Vlaicu.
Special moves: kicking the ball real good sometimes. Also, with the ball in hand pointing in the distance and urging his opposite number to look over there, only to run away once they look in the direction he was pointing.

All time try scorer: Gheorghe Hagi

WWN score prediction: 51-6 to Ireland.

What to watch out for: people in the crowd scrolling through their phones as if getting tickets to see Ireland play in a rugby World Cup is somehow a waste of their precious fucking time.

The TMO referee getting distracted and zooming in on Paul O’Connell’s arse, widely considered the finest arse on the display in the tournament by experts.
