Glad they're through also, means they too will have to manage their squad and not focus on the league. Plus it's nice to have all four English clubs through, now to see if they we can rise to the top and out stay them all.

I wanted them to drop into the Europa tbh.

If Poch does go in the summer, does anyone here think we could nab Alli off them? He would be the final piece in the jigsaw imo. We would have a team capable of winning the PL and CL double. How much would he cost? £150m?

Honestly don't see how or where he'd fit into the team. His goalscoring record is excellent but I don't think he contributes enough in overall play.

Also reckon Poch, if he goes, will look to take one, two or all three of Kane, Eriksen and Alli.

If there is an exodus there should MP leave, I'd love to see us go for Son. He'd slot in seamlessly imo, giving us top quality cover anywhere across the front.

been thinking exactly the same. He would be great in our team. Probably too expensive though.

It definitely would not be a like for like swap but he brings such battling qualities, cleverness off the ball and, I know this is the ultimate football cliché... a 'winning mentality' that I don't there would be an issue fitting him somewhere into the current system. We've also seen a plan B this season, so maybe even having a plan C that would have Alli playing as a second striker could work for some games.

Agreed, Son could be interchanged with any of our front 3 seamlessly.

And Son. Levy would be reluctant to sell but the new stadium costs might be a factor if Utd offer big money.

Hmmm, actually the more I think about it, the more I think Son could genuinely be on Klopp's radar. A 'no-brainer' as he would say. Seems a good a character too.

I rate Alli really highly but he would come with some baggage. Seems to attract a bit of controversy which is probably not what we want in our camp atm.

Didn't realise 'Sonaldo' was 6ft tall.

Also, he just turned 26 so bang on the age we like to sign players at.

Transfer likeliness: 2 stars (out of 5)

With the wages they pay, Spurs could be easy pickings if they lose Poch

Tottenham only ever sell to UTD. So no point trying. They're the official feeder club.

Goals aged 22:
Rooney - 94
Cristiano Ronaldo - 97
Owen - 111
Lukaku - 119
Aguero - 124
Messi - 127
Raul - 145
Proper Ronaldo - 194!

So seriously impressive numbers for Ali considering he's not even an out and out forward. Weirdly I still don't really know what type of player he is, and I'm not sure I'd want to sign him.

same for me but still blame Rodgers we didn't sign him - Aouar on the other hand....now there's a lad worth signing

I'm not even sure I rate Kane that much to be honest either. Still have no idea how he scores so many goals.

It's impressive but the Gerrard and Lampard comparisons are a bit unfair as they scored those 75 while playing in PL. About a third of Alli's goals came at MK Dons in league 1

Alli is out with a hamstring problem but their team still looks strong with Kane, Son, Moura and Eriksen playing today.

Spurs are losing Son to the Asian Cup for three weeks. He's contributed to 30% or so to their goals and assists over the Christmas period. A huge blow I reckon.

Harry Kane got an MBE? What the fuck for?

Why didn't the rest of the team get one?

Absolute joke.

Just saw that, I can only assume because he was the England captain. Captain and manager tend to get honours when they do well at WC.

Just be glad England didn't do the WC otherwise it would have been a knighthood

When was the last time Spurs drew a game?

This drawless run of theirs is quite remarkable.
