Behave! He's the London Manager of the Year. How dare you say such things.

📝 David Wagner has departed his role as Head Coach of #htafc by mutual consent.
The 47-year-old leaves Town after detailed discussions with the Board of Directors, with both parties agreeing this is the correct move for the future of the Club.

Seems a good guy but it’s realistically the only card Huddersfield have left.

Is it too much to ask for a new manager bounce against City?
I think so.

Feel sorry for Wagner as it seems he was a victim of his own success, in keeping them up last year they were punching above their weight, but the that fact is largely overlooked when the new season started. I guess it's just the way football is now.

Yeah, the fans are absolutely gutted about him leaving, seems like a top bloke. Hope he gets another good job in England.

Didn’t Klopp want to bring him in to work at the acedemy of somewhere before he went there? Didn’t he work with him at Dortmund?

He was part of his staff at Dortmund and the best man at his wedding - we were linked to him in a coaching capacity but he took over at Huddersfield....I'd say his coaching days are over now and will go back into management

It's possible he'd join us for a year or so if he doesn't like the opportunities he's presented with. Working with top players, a top club (possible Premier League champions), just to raise his stock a bit further.
You do get some weird things happening in football. I mean, you had Pulis and Megson at West Brom, Villas Boas and Di Matteo at Chelsea, Rodgers and O'Driscoll with us. I know Megson, Di Mattteo and O'Driscoll were looking to rebuild their reputations, whereas Wagner will be looking for a step up the ladder, so maybe not the best examples to use!
It's very unlikely IMO, but not impossible.

Previously sacked manager set to return.
"Leonardo Jardim still lives in Monaco and sees the players in the street when he goes to the bakery. He's the favourite to replace Henry. He had amazing results, winning the league in 2017, before this season when things didn't go well for the team."

Well lol, if it was that simple, anyone could have done it by your logic?
Turns out they're bringing Jardim back.

Right up there with the most predictably shit managerial appointments in recent years, and there's been some competition.

No he wasn't guaranteed of that. He was given a team at the bottom of the league, with players that either didn't want to be there, or were too young to really compete. They sold their 2017 team when the going was good, and made amazing amounts of money. So it was a rebuilding job for him. Fair play to Henry for backing himself in that situation.
Its easy to say he was shit, when in reality the situation he was put into was basically doomed to fail if the expectation was lots of success.
He had actually started turning it round, picking up wins and draws. But obviously it was too little too late.

They got beat by a second division team in the cup at the weekend.
It was a poor appointment. They still have a decent squad (for the French league) and needed an experienced manager to guide them to safety this season and perhaps then take a gamble on an unproven 'big name's manager next season.

I feel like as a fan base, we are usually dead against this sort of appointment for any club. Its boring, regressive and lazy. Its Big Sam.
No one wants Big Sam. Henry is a French Footballing legend (sort of) So you can understand why they took the risk.
