Doesn't really matter who he plays for (or perhaps it does) and it doesn't really matter if he's any good at football (or perhaps it does).
Actually it doesn't.
The guy has somehow single handedly / single mindedly changed the news narrative in the UK.
Is there anyone who honestly disagrees with what he's standing up for?
Not me.

Should get a standing ovation at all grounds he plays at when fans are back.

Don't think he'll be nominated cos it's about on-field / sporting achievement.

Seems mad really when it is 'personality'.
I'd imagine the government will be wanting to kaibosh him also as imagine the platform that would give him prime time BBC everyone watching it because there is nothing else to do.

The 'personality' thing is a bit of a misnomer - it was from the 50s when personality meant celebrity or famous person. Nothing to do with their personalities.

Yeah, fair point
He will surely get some acknowledgement.
I think it is amazing that he is so socially conscious (as are a lot of our lot) at such a young age and with such wealth.

I hope they bend the rules for him tbh - the sporting calendar has been decimated this year (no Olympics, no Euros etc) so they should make an exception for him. He's doing and has inspired incredible things.

We live in a strange world. If a politician (thinking Corbyn) had expressed similar concerns to Rashford (come to think of it, Corbyn probably spent a lot of time expressing concerns about child poverty), they would have been mocked (thinking right wing press and current Tory front bench).
Good on Rashford. He's shown compassion, understanding, maturity and bravery.

Aye, it’s politicising it if a politician makes such a point apparently.

Could of just concentrated on his football and earned his millions but made a massive difference in a shit of a year for the country,
Admiration of the charts for the lad

Expect nothing else from them - they'll probably be rehashing Lewis Hamilton is a hypocrite for taking private jets stories as we speak.
Clickbait for bigots.

Daily Mail is a Tory rag and wouldn't know integrity unless it came in a manilla envelope stuffed full of non-competitive, multi-billion pound PPE contracts. Arseholes.

Maybe they could compare and contrast Rashford and Rothermere's tax returns on page 1

Rashford again.
I can’t get over how switched on he is for 24. He understands the actual society we all live in, not the fabricated one we read about.
He quite cleverly, never ever politicises, he goes to the heart of the matter and makes his point there.

Heartbreaking, and more common than I suspect anyone is prepared to admit.
Quote:
Rashford said: “I only started reading at 17, and it completely changed my outlook and mentality. I just wish I was offered the opportunity to really engage with reading more as a child, but books were never a thing we could budget for as a family when we needed to put food on the table.
“There were times where the escapism of reading could have really helped me. I want this escapism for all children. Not just those that can afford it. We know there are over 380,000 children across the UK today that have never owned a book, children that are in vulnerable environments. That has to change. My books are, and always will be, for every child, even if I have to deliver them myself. We will reach them.”

Think thats why he is cutting through so much. No shouting and hollering when the Government didnt do as he campaigned for. Just called for more conversations and pushed it along. Even had people like Nigel Farage on his side ffs.
Hes doing well, and hes the sort of voice this country needs more of.
