The England Thread
Well, since the Hodgson thread is now dedicated to when he becomes next Hull City boss it's probably about time everyone's favourite national team has their own thread.
Bruce and Allerdyce joint coaches? Iceland style.

I think with Fat Sam and potentially fat head Bruce my interest in the national side has officially dead.
Even with Hodgson there was the perverse thinking that he's finally going to be found out as the fraud that he is.
International football just has no interest for me really

The thing with Allardyce is that he may see this as an opportunity to try and play something more attacking and expressive, rather than sticking with what he does best, and that could go horribly wrong, given his delusions of thinking he can manage Real Madrid.

I've had little to no interest in international football for the last 10 years, Hodgson being in charge at least brought a bit of interest, but now I'm back to not caring.

It's crazy to think that the England job is supposed to be so prestigious and one of the best paid jobs in football and 3 of the last 4 managers are Sam Allardyce, Roy Hodgson and Steve McClaren

It's so funny the way the way the media are portraying Sam as a forward thinking progressive manager who invented yoga!

I think when he had better players he did play a more attacking style at Bolton. It wasn't Guardiola's Barcelona or Keegan's Newcastle in terms of aesthetics but it was decent to watch.
In terms of winning rather than enjoying I think he could be our Fernando Santos. If we stop thinking we can be amazing maybe we can actually maximize our potential.

Sam Allardyce has made it his mission to restore the nation's pride after the debacle of Euro 2016 as his new England era starts in Slovakia on Sunday.
Is the opening of this article on the BBC.
However, as you make your way through the article you can't help but focus on this snippet:

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
I guess, it is Slovakia though.

Until the powers that be realise that you really shouldn't continue to follow up a mistake with another mistake, then we'll be like this for some time.

I've watched 5 minutes and contemplating what it is that makes me ever watch football. This is awful. Absolute poison for the eyes and mind.

Most football is, especially international football.
It's impressive how Spurs manage to provide player after player who stink the place out when playing for England.

All these countries that park the bus against England. It's a sign of respect.
I mean, against Germany and Spain etc they play open expansive football that then gets exploited.
That's the only reason countries like Germany and Spain are able to play entertaining football and we cannot.

Its such a sideways move having fat Sam as England manager after Roy. They should have gone for Eddie Howe.

He's not one of the boys yet though.
I'm sure it wont take long for England to kick on though, Big Sam could've managed Madrid remember.
Hary Kane looks like he needs a rest.
