Hopefully them spineless, gutless, pie n mash eating pricks get stuck right in tomorrow. They've been an absolute embarrassment at home against City for a good few years now, in fact calling it an embarrassment is being kind, time to change it. Surely the ideal time, maybe a birra rust in the South Americans and they were a shambles at the back v us.

Some start by City all the same, away from home too.

3 of our next 4 are pretty tough:

Arsenal (h)
Burnley (a)
Newcastle (h)
Chelsea (a)

Because the standard is so brutally high it feels like we need to win every single game, but that's a pretty tough bunch of fixtures right there.

We are 11 League wins on the bounce which is nuts. The run will end sooner or late. Not sure we are tough enough as a group of supporters to handle a draw or defeat anymore.

The traditional Arsenal collapse at Anfiedl where we score 5 may be too much to expect this time..I expect us to edge a 3-2 thriller since we can't defend anymore. But a week's prep, without travel, is gonna make a huge difference to us.

I'd give the lads a day or two's mini holiday already. A couple of weeks in and it already feels like a gap in an otherwise gruelling schedule.

International break coming up so maybe that will be a rest of sorts for some?

Arsenal is tough for sure, but it's at Anfield and our roar could turn them into pussies (cats). Surely we should be beating Burnley and Newcastle?

Chelsea are already looking knackered relying too much on Pedro as the senior provider. As long as our players are rested / rotated we should be looking to win that but a draw is not the end of the world.

Most of our team are Internationals .

I think the African players are off(?), so thats something.

But Henderson, TAA, Gomez(?), Gini, VvD, Robbo and Shaq will all be away for 2 Euro 2020 qualifiers.

Bobby and Fab will be flying to the other side of the world for 2 games too, even if Fab doesn't play.

Other than that, that leaves Milner, Adrian and Origi(?) benefitting from a fixture break.

Didn't these players get a lot of rest over the summer?

Bobby and Fab would be my two biggest worries unless they get some time off and are allowed to stay?

Fab had Summer off so Id say really its just Bobby who is affected, and great that Sadio and Mo will get a break.

Most of them were involved in that Nations League nonsense.

But it's more that we know we're going to be needing a massive amount of minutes out of the likes out Robbo, TAA, Virgil, etc again this season. There'll be no break for them with Euro qualifiers though.

Beats being absolutely fucking shit and scoring an impossible goal from Kompany and getting 3 points instead of just 1. Fecking jammy feckers.

Not sure why but dropped points at this stage seems absolutely massive! If we can navigate wins against Arsenal and Chelsea then that's a huge statement for me.

I was thinking the same about how huge it is this early in the season.

I think that it is simply because we were so close last year - for so long of the season. That is probably why this seems huge.

Looking at our fixtures, I think that if we are close to City by the time we play them at Anfield on 9th of November, then that will be a brilliant start to the season.

Their games until then:
Bournemouth (a)
Brighton (h)
Norwich (a)
Watford (h)
Everton (a)
Wolves (h)
Palace (a)
Villa (h)
Southampton (h)

In those 9 games, it wouldn't surprise me if they won them all. It probably would surprise me if they lost any of those games to be honest. I just hope teams give them a bit of a fuckin game. You look at those fixtures and you wonder who will give them a game though. Everton at Goodison maybe?

Whereas in our next 9 games, we play Arsenal, Chelsea, United and Spurs before we play them.

So I think that if we are close to them - say within 2 points - after we play them, then they go into a bit of a tricky spell then (on paper anyway)

Arsenal have started brightly so a statement against them next Saturday would be ideal.

I thought they quite poor against a terrible Newcastle side, although they were missing a lot of players.

They were decent going forward against Burnley but very vulnerable at the back. A very Arsenal like performance TBF.

We could easily put another 5 past them like we did last year, but they will also fancy their chances of scoring a few against us.

Yep, they look exactly the same as every other year, Burnley walked through them at will, would be a huge disappointment if we couldn't beat them at home.

I want to see us beat Everton and Yernited home and away. Especially away. Just cos they are super motivated when they play us, shouldn't matter. We are better and we shoudd beat the feckers.

In a way its good City have all their easy games early. Means they will yet again have to sacrifice CL for the PL. Or maybe this time Pep will actually focus on the CL and give us a chance.

All 6 teams fighting against relegation.

Like I said, I dare Pep to prioritise the CL over PL. Rest Sterling and KdB against any of those.
