Dont mess with Pep.Similar to Klopp with Sakho, this seems to be a real marker being laid down.
Quote:
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola says he will not pick Yaya Toure until he apologises to the club and his team-mates for comments made by his agent.
Toure, 33, has made one appearance for City this season and was left out of their Champions League squad.
His agent, Dimitri Seluk, said the midfielder had been "humiliated" and Guardiola should apologise to him if City do not win the competition.
Guardiola said: "He must apologise. If he doesn't, he won't play."
The Spaniard also wants an apology from Seluk.
He said it had been a difficult decision to leave Toure out of his European squad.
"If he has a problem, he should speak to people at the club," said Guardiola, who was Barcelona boss when Toure was sold to City in 2010.
He added Toure, who returned to training on Monday after a migraine, had not had the "courage" to call him.
Guardiola was speaking soon after Toure announced his international retirement.
Having made his debut for the Ivory Coast in 2004, Toure won 113 international caps, winning the Africa Cup of Nations in 2015.
"Writing this note was probably 'the most difficult match of my life'," he said in a statement.
"After 14 years at the highest level, I'm sure this is the right time for me."
Meanwhile, City captain Vincent Kompany could make his first appearance of the season in Wednesday's League Cup third-round tie at Swansea.
"He has trained a lot and he will be ready and be part of the group and compete with other central defenders to win his position," said Guardiola.

Probably! He is still a good player although he doesn't fit a few teams style currently. Effectively rulling out most top teams I reckon. Question is just as well what club in the PL does he wants to go to that would want him?
Italy or Spain I rekcon,

Yayas agent struggling to move on
Quote:
Yaya Toure’s agent Dimitri Seluk has publicly criticised Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, for a change...
He has now suggested that in order to prove himself as a great manager he should go to a team like Sunderland.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, he said: “Pep was successful at Barcelona and Bayern Munich, but take a look behind that success.
“The team he took at Barca had been built by Frank Rijkaard and then he was lucky to have Lionel Messi. It was Messi who made Barca, not Pep. Luis Enrique has shown that Barca’s success was not down to Guardiola.
“If Pep wants to prove himself as a great manager, then he should go to Real Zaragoza or Sunderland. Let’s see how good he is when he doesn't take over a great team and hasn't got half a billion pounds to spend."

There is some truth in his agent's latest comments.
Being (i) arrogant; (ii) over-paid; and (iii) passed his best, Yaya would fit in really well with Jose Mourinho's Manchester Globe Trotters.

So what do we want from the Spurs match on Sunday?
Do we realistically have a chance for the title and therefore want City to drop points, or are Spurs are main rivals from the two?
Suppose there are positive from all 3 outcomes, but a Spurs win would probably be the worst result for me.

A low scoring draw would be good. Two draws on the bounce for City, get rid of that winning feeling.

Draw, Spurs win, City win is my preference.
Would rather reign City in, Spurs will be implode hopefully at some time with Injuries or when the pressure is on.
knowing our luck City will win, will go on to get 100+points this year and we will finish 2nd on 100+ points too

For the first time in a long while, I'm not that bothered about the results of our rivals, we have good team and if we keep up our form and just focus on our next game I reckon we'll have chance to be up there.

I think that’s a cert this year, really do. Maybe not as high scoring as that, but I think we'll show league winning form only for City to break all sorts of unprecedented records.

Nah nothing wrong with that! They've lived in Utd's shadow for a long time and it's nothing but a dig at how things are different.
More power to them I say!
