We finally have defenders that can bully even the biggest and most physical of attackers, a partnership of Sakho and Kolo will be monsters.

Great signing

I see Mamadou Sakho as 'competition for Agger' as there are question marks over where BR plans to play him. He has never played RCB for PSG.

Seen him compared with Thuram in terms of style - let's hope that's true!

While I was really hoping to see Papadopolous come in (the guy has charisma!), I was a bit concerned at his relative lack of height when what we really need is an aerial powerhouse at the back. Someone who is going to go toe to toe with the biggest, most physical attackers and dominate. This guy sounds absolutely perfect.

I can't wait to see him in action for us.

Hope him and Cissokho sort themselves out. Things could get confusing on the pitch for the two of them.

Think we could see a back four of:

Illori----------Toure--------Agger--------Sakho

No chance under Rodgers. He likes his full backs to press high and attack.

I think we will see us playing 3 CB's in some game with both Johnson and Enrique playing more offensive roles

Sakho apparently played left back for PSG like half a dozen times. He's no left back.

Oh sorry, didn't realise Illori and Sakho would be chained to the goalposts.

My mistake as I am sure Sakho was being compared to the legend Thuram, so I assumed he was capable of playing as a full back. Clearly not.

Unless they're renowned for their attacking prowess I can't see them as full backs other than in an emergency role.

They don't need to be chained to the goalposts to have an aversion in playing further up the pitch.
