Permit granted now.

He has got a hell of a job to turn them from what they are into a real pressing team.

Fred stands on De Gea's foot, De Gea goes down, Arsenal score into what is effectively an empty net.

The ref didn't blow his whistle so the goal stands!

Atkinson was desperate for VAR to find a reason not to give it though; cheating cunt

Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

It is an incredible decision. Yes, you have head injuries that are allowed to stop the game. But this is a genuine injury. It is impossible for Manchester United to do anything to stop the goal. De Gea would have saved it. An unbelievable decision. Amazing.

EH?? he gets paid for this kind of insight

I'm not surprised at all that the goal was given. It was only his own players near him.

I don't see how it couldn't be given a goal! I don't know what all the kerfuffle was about.

Imagine having a legitimate goal disallowed because an opponent stood on their own keepers foot

Arsenal are doing what they did against us with no success and play it out of defense whenever possible. They're crap at it though.

Agreed, he's only 7 goals behind Salah in the race for the Golden Boot.

hasn't a patch on Darren Bent's beachballgate.

It's hilarious because when you watch it back, you see Fred immediately appeal after standing on his own keepers ankles

Would have been a shocker if they'd disallowed it, unless it's a head injury or a foul thats a fair goal.

Absolutely embarrassing amount of belly aching arseholery from the commentary team. De Gea went down like a piss-weakened paper bag because his team mate trod on his toes. 100% every single woman across the land in a club on Friday night who has her toes trodden on doesn't react like the tragic wimp did tonight. No foul, legit goal, fuck em.

Can't be ruling out goals or stopping play for thaor it will just become a standard tactic to minimise threats from a corner/set piece

Shit penalty decision imo. Fred sticks his leg out to get the contact when there wouldn’t have been contact if he ran normally. Refs got sucked in.

If that goal had been disallowed you could imagine the amount of teams who would purposely 'take out' their keepers during corners.

Nah I doubt that. Man United are the only ones that would potentially get that disallowed. Atkinson did his best to get it chalked off.

Time to mic up these refs

Ally McCoist was decent on comms this week.

He wasn't having it at all that it wasn't a goal. Even pointing out the misfortune, and the complexities, but all the while saying 'it has to be given as a goal'.

Having someone neutral in comms, even (maybe especially) in our games is so much better.

Even on our games where if its Carra or Macmanaman they start to go too far in the other direction in terms of almost supporting the team we are playing.
