FA needs to start getting serious with this. 6 game bans and even threatening points deductions

Exactly mate, that's why they couldn't give a fuck. Because they've got wedge they think they're immune to getting the virus and immune to all responsibility. This is what fucks me off with footballers these days.

Still selfish either way of course.
That's exactly what type of party it was, only thing they're interested in is getting their end away.

I don't think being a footballer has anything to do with it.

There are plenty of bellends from all walks of life doing it.

Difference is these guys have under cover Sun reporters following them around.

Of course there are others doing it no doubt, but these guys definitely believe they're immune to being caught. They're role models, they should know better.

i think Derby are sending their a mixture of their U23 and U19 team to their FA Cup tie with Chorley because of something similar......

So would possibly expect something similar here??

Depends on the competition and round. Earlier League Cup ties are forfeited. R5 onward is discretionary

Talk about a token gesture.

Because other than goal celebrations players don't come near each other . What is next, defenders to be asked to socially distance from forwards?

Hate to say I agree with Mourinho, but I think he is right. If a team has 3 games cancelled and is in Europe the the season will struggle to complete unless they move the Euros. All of the plans being made seem mental given the state of the pandemic right now. If Villa cant play Spurs next week Spurs will have 3 games in hand. And no available time to play them all.

A cancellation seems inevitable. It seems unethical to be playing football when a Medical state of emergency has been declared in London.

The outbreak is at its worst, and it's moving very quickly. It seems insane that they are still playing at all right now and for what? There is nothing essential about "elite sport". What's it going to take for them to shut down the Premier League this time, one of the managers catching COVID and dying? It's unreal.

Seems that we're destined to be one of the last games before the suspension of games once again. I wonder how many of the Villa U23s have had contact with the full squad?

Think all the U23's that trained with the full squad are isolating too, Tonights tea, made up of players nowhere near the first team

It's still only one confirmed positive I think, the rest are isolating presumably as a precaution

Just caught up on the story.

The fact that they flew out to Dubai the day the country went into lockdown raised more than a few eyebrows.

Their assistant manager said at a press conference yesterday they had been guilty of 'minor slip-ups' whilst in Dubai and now this

Looks like they're playing the kids tonight. I imagine the SFA have told them play or forfeit.

Getting the season cancelled might be their best chance of stopping Rangers from winning the title and keep their hopes of 10 in a row alive

In all seriousness it was a really stupid idea to go away in the current world situation.

English and Portuguese teams playing their home games of a two-legged home tie in Greece and Italy. What a farce.

All Premier League games to be made available to watch live until fans can return to stadiums

All Premier League fixtures will remain available to watch live in the UK until fans are allowed to return to stadiums.

Games will continue to be broadcast by Sky Sports, BT Sport, Amazon Prime Video and the BBC.

Broadcast selections for March and for the rearrangement of previously postponed games will be announced in due course.

On Monday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson is expected to announce how the current lockdown in England will be eased.

Premier League football has been played behind closed doors since the 2019-20 season resumed in June following the first coronavirus lockdown.

However, pilots with a small number of fans were permitted in the English Football League (EFL) in the autumn while some Premier League clubs were able to welcome up to 2,000 fans in December.

But games were soon moved back behind closed doors amid rising cases of Covid-19.

Fans initially had to pay a 14.95 pay-per-view fee to watch some top-flight matches from October, but the scheme was scrapped the following month following significant protests among fan groups.

Earlier this month, Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden told BBC Sport there was a "long path ahead of us" before fans could return to stadiums.

"I'm very optimistic in the medium-to-long run, but I do think we need to progress with caution in the short run," he said.

The FA Cup final - potentially in front of 20,000 fans - and the World Snooker Championship are among the proposed pilot events to test the return of big crowds to venues this year.
