That first picture is a bit moody. Get him leaning on the shelves that hold football boots.

Klopp has banned the leaning. He wants strong players who can hold their heads high not players who need to lean on things.

He looks decent on the youtube clips but is it just me or is anyone else a little concerned that he tends to parry a lot of shots especially back into the danger zone?

I genuinely think he's here as Mignolet's understudy with an aim to replace Mignolet in future years. Others will disagree, but given his age and the other 'keepers reportedly available, I think we've gone with youth and development.

You may be right there, but the experienced old hand goalkeeper isn't necessarily the rule for everyone to follow. A quick google shows he's played in 30 odd games for the last two seasons at a high standard league. Pepe Reina was the same age when he joined Liverpool from Villarreal as well.

Good luck to him.
I'm not sure thats fair, goalies dont cost much anyway generally and he's just been voted 2nd behind Neuer by his fellow pro's so he must be playing at a good level.

Here's a youtube compilation with music so awful that Mostar would be embarrassed.

Be prepared to be not very whelmed.

Mig looked brilliant in some "greatest hits" vids so I'd not pay much attention to that. Only watching him will reveal if he is good enough.

That 'save' at 0.30 is more by luck and shouldn't be on anyone's greatest hits!

Anyway, you take the best and worst bits with YouTube, let's see how he develops with our coaching staff.

It's an interesting point around Reina - I had no idea he was the same age. I hope I'm proven wrong as I very much believe that Mignolet needs to be replaced, but we shall see.

All the expensive players want to be elsewhere - apart from Firmino (and Benteke who we wish was elsewhere!)

Know nothing about him but if he's a reasonable shot-stopper then that'll do for me.

I think there is something to this, he'll likely miss the first couple of games due to being in Germany's Olympic squad. Its also probably the most sensible way of introducing a young lad, goalkeeper especially, into the Premier League. However reports on him seem promising and he could end up number 1 by the end of the year.

True, but it's not necessarily financial, it's finding quality players who want to join us. It's quite bad for us, imagine Everton's position.

He is the number 1 but he definitely won't be starting of first few games in goal, can't see Klopp dropping Mignolet for a 22 year old new to the league immediately on his return barring a terrible run of form.
