Pardew is another one of football's genuine wankers. Delighted to see him go down in flames.

Glad to see the back of Pardew but you just know he'll land himself another job next season despite being a proven failure time after time.

Despite the fact 'top 4 isn't a trophy' and that shit, I wasn't too disappointed when they put us out of the cup. I think we benefited from the mid February break, plus having points on the board, rather than games in hand has also helped.

Ultimately we are here to win trophies, but if we keep progressing then the trophies will come eventually. Keeping our place in the CL was a much bigger priority for me (I'm sure Arsenal fans would have swapped their FA Cup top be in our position).

Plus as well, playing an FA final would have taken it out of us before heading to Kiev.

On the rest of that article, why will it be difficult for him to get another job? it never has been before. Moyes got another job after his Sunderland role which was as bad. If people are willing to give him jobs after he headbutted an opposition player I don't see a few bad results stopping them.

Also where has Chris Sutton suddenly appeared from? He seems to be commenting on everything. Is this a late bid for a pundit role at the world cup?

He's been a pundit for a couple of years now I think. Don't think much of him I have to say!

He's been doing Scottish football for ages, someone obviously thinks he's worthy of a promotion to proper football.

I've seen him occasionally, but in the last couple of months he seems to have been everywhere.

Despite living in Scotland I don't really bother watching Scottish football

Moyes and Fat Sam out on the lash later then.

Both canned in the same day despite them both delivering the bare minimum contractual requirement.

Ignoring where they were when he came in, 8th is roughly the right league position for Everton. Would usually expect to finish 7th above Burnley but hardly a failure on his behalf. And it terms of the quality of football, I haven't seen them play good football for at least a decade.

Think both have been treated harshly. Moyes especially.

That being said, I dislike both of them greatly.

I tend to think everyone got what they wanted out of both relationships - teams stayed up, managers laundered (or in Sam's case continued to launder) their reputations. Neither of them were good fits for the clubs long term, I think we should remember how rank it felt when Hodgson managed us.

That said West Ham in particular seem to have no plans for what to do. I expect them to lurch into a new disaster next season having burnt though another 'safe pair of hands'. Unless something substantially changes in the way they are run I make them favourites for relegation next season. Like Stoke and Swansea this season they seem like a stale and listless club.

Most people I see tend to acknowledge that Moyes was probably the right fit for West Ham. I take your point on SA at Everton though.

I fear for West Ham. Their owners and board are totally clueless about Modern Football. Karen Brady writing articles in The Sun about their fans surely must be a low point for them now.

The West Ham fans I've spoken to haven't taken to Moyes. Some accept that with the current owners he might have been be the best option but he would never have been 'one of them'.

'One of them' and 'The West Ham Way' both things that dont seem to mean anything with regards to West Ham anymore. Bilic was one of them, and he was a bit clueless.

So who do they get after this? Pelligrini is the favourite.

It's a difficult one - they have an old, slow squad + a couple of good attacking players. Not clear whether they should have someone to just stabilise the squad (Pulis style) or develop a long term project. They don't seem to have any sort of plan for the latter approach though and the former is unlikely to be popular.

They're a joke with ideas above their station - The want to 'go to the next level' Well the next level for them is not fighting relegation every season, yet they seem to want Champions League football.

Hope they get relegated.
