I dunno, i think i'd rather a super rich team like Citeh buy it again.
Otherwise, when we win with it with Klopp, people will just say, ha! wow wee! Leicester won it with Ranieri, it aint no big deal.

It's going to be the last time a small team will ever win the league again. It gives hope to all those poor fuckers (like us) that one day it could be their turn!!

Riyad Mahrez's season by numbers:
28 games
73% pass accuracy
45 chances created
15 goals
11 assists
Terrible pass accuracy would not sign

We couldn't win it two years ago. I can't see them winning this. Would be great if they pulled it off. We've been waiting for this for twenty six years. They can't do it. Surely. It would be wrong.

The pressure will become immense in the next month but then again so will the pressure on Arsenal and Spurs. There's nothing to suggest that they're tiring or losing momentum, whereas Spurs are showing signs of dropping away as are Arsenal. A Man City win would be more bearable but they're leaving themselves a lot to do and have a real distraction in the CL

Don't really mind who wins the PL (of the current top four). My preference would be Leicester then Spurs (one of the less fancied teams).
Can understand some Liverpool fans 'bitterness' (probably the wrong word) at the prospect of Spurs winning the PL - think a lot of 'neutral' fans felt the same about us winning it a couple of seasons ago.

They are showing the most consistency plus their next 6 games or so look pretty decent.
I think they just might do it, I actually think they deserve it.

They are a solid team, no many glarin weakness unlike in our 2014 team, when the defence was godawful, but it also shows the value of having your week off.

They've a great chance but I'm with Vermy, I hope City get their shit together and Leicester fall away but I don't think it'll happen. They'll win it, they'll be stripped by the big clubs in the summer and they'll get relegated next season cos they can't cope with European football on top of league games having lost their best players.
The romance! Would love us to sign Kante.

Yep if I could sign any Leicester player it would be Kante. Mahrez looks superb but we are well stocked with that type of player, Kasper Schmeichel if he'd just have plain old Kasper on the back of his shirt.
Vardy needs to show it for more than one season.

Don't think Vardy has scored since the double against us. Missed a tap in last night. Kante and Mahrez continue to show their class. I think Vardy is a one season wonder.

I had that view initially, but I've changed my mind since.
What Leicester winning the league does is give everyone the motivation to have a go, to really focus on what it takes to build a team, and give it your best shot.
Everyone knows that the players and manager that wins the league for us will be immortalised.
We've been involved in the greatest Champions League Final and FA Cup Final.
Porto won the Champions League the year before we won it. And we still did it in absolute style.
I've no doubt that when our time comes, we'll do it in our own special way, that ranks up there with the best.

I was thinking the same thing myself re Vardy, he really is the epitome of a one season wonder ala Ricketts, Beni McCarthy, Bridges or Michu. Mahrez on the other hand looks the real deal, i watched most of the game the other night and he always looked likely to come up with a bit of magic and so he did.
If you look at Leicester's template it suits Vardy on the counter with his pace and workrate, now imagine he got the big money move to a team where counter attack isn't possible as opposition teams sit deep you couldn't see it working for him there. Mahrez seems that he has it in him to adjust, a lot of his good play is in tight spaces with guys around him and he looks like he can unlock defences with skill or good footwork so he does seem like he can go to the next level. He'll be expensive now so I hope it isn't us who go after him.
Kante has a bit of Makelele about him but again in a team that dominates possession I wonder how he'd get on.

Undoubtedly
You can't be having your first hot season at 29 and be a quality player.

Personally, I wouldn't sign any of them (especially inflated prices) till they've proven themselves after another season.
Someone like Mahrez, I would assess especially after an injury, as he plays his football with such fine margins that a minor loss of pace would leave him redundant imo (similar to Torres)

I think its always smart to be patient, we've seen clubs, ourselves included dive in and buy someone going through a purple patch only to be shit.
There are differences with Leicester though. As a team they're beyond anything I can remember recently, their expectations were to try and stay up and now they're 5 points clear. Another difference is the length of this level of performance, the stat posted above about 82 points from 38 games is astonishing.
Vardy given his age I'd leave well alone, Mahrez although great was in and out the team for a time earlier on in the season. Kante for me is the one to take a chance on he's just fantastic! Drinkwater has been really impressive too, his range of passing surprised me, I wouldn't take him but he's been important for them in releasing Mahrez and Albrighton.

Leicester and England striker Jamie Vardy, 29, has a £30m buyout clause in his contract. (Times - subscription required)
