Klopp saying Alisson back in training and will definitely back for Fulham, but sounds like he's ruled out for the Community Shield.
Adrian then.

Feels insanely stupid we have a 9 day gap after Fulham, then another week off after that.
Then the madness of every 3-4 days until Qatar.

Yeah injured playing for Ireland. Hasn’t featured in pre-season at all.
Jota will "take a while, unfortunately" too.

We did win the League the last time we started the season with Adrian in goal. When Allison pulled up vs Norwich, I am sure we won all the games he played!
That said - Not sure we want to go through all that again!

Yeah we did. Though he still made some howlers in those games, but thanks to the team they just didn’t end up being costly. There was also his Atletico performance that season!
He’s been decent in pre season to be fair, a mix up with Joe Gomez last night apart.

I think that was the last game before football in the UK was suspended, right?

That match should have never gone ahead at the time & remember Klopp being quite vocal about that.

A little before hand… but not as much as you’d have thought. In retrospect it should never have gone ahead but we didn’t know that.

Interesting line up by City.
At first glance it looks like a flat four at the back, but when you look at the rest of the team it looks like it could just as easily go to a 3-4-3 or even a 3-3-4.
So hope Pep is back to over thinking things this early in ther season

We've an amazing squad but not against this lot. That front 5 is terrifying, at least if Grealish ever clicks for them.

Nunez has what might be a slappable face if he played for someone else, but as he now plays for us he is our slapper and not a slapee.
Haaand on the other hand has what looks very much a punchable face.
Well worth the effort of getting your body into position, pivoting and pushing through using your rear foot and then twisting your hips quickly to transfer all your body weight to your standing foot and then letting it all flow through your punching arm arm (usually your stronger one) and enjoying the moment when your cross connects cleanly with the chin on his predator face and his eyes roll back.
Then you savour the moment as he falls to the floor before turning around to kick Foden in the nads.
At that point though you are fecked as a group of angry footballers then all pile onto you and you get the snot hammered out of you.

They look at us the same way we look at them.
Very little weakness in either team.
Think with today's line ups, we are better at the back, probably even in the middle, and they shade it in attack today for me.
The midfield and attack comparisons really depend on what formation they start with though.

De Bruyne has to my mind been the difference maker for them, so I don't agree we're stronger there.
Also, we're missing two very decent GKs against one of the most attacking teams in world football. So there's an obvious weakness regardless of tactics and selection options.

He is the reason I said they shade it in attack as I tend to regard him as an atatcking threat ore than a midfielder. So I said they are stronger in attack not the other way around.
He is also the reason I said the midfield and attack comparsions depend on what formation and who they play where as he automatically vastly improves whatever part of the team he plays in be in in midfield or as an attacker.

You are allowed to make 6 in community shield, it has different rules

Semantics. He's a midfielder and plays there for City at least.
Has anyone ever accused you of being loquacious, Jaco.

Harvey Davies is on the bench. Alisson is coming back from injury, should be back for Fulham. Kelleher is out for a few more weeks.
