I think our unbeaten home record is in danger tomorrow.
Were Leicester the last team to win at Anfield in league?

I'm not sure why people are so worried. Despite our injuries, we're still far superior to Leicester, are playing at home, have beat them 5 and drew 1 of last 6 and hammered them 4-0 against all odds last time we played them.
If it was an early ko today I'd be worried, but with the extra prep I'll be confident, assuming at least one of Thiago or Fabinho make it.

Because of our injuries, and having seen the Villa game, I think they'll be far more adventurous this time. This one could go either way imo

Exactly. To not have any concerns going into this is nieve.

We are still odds on favourites for a reason. We have faced much, much harder situations during our unbeaten home run and to hear fans say they would accept a draw to a much inferior team is bizarre to me.
Probably unfair to say I don't know why fans are worried, as I'd be an idiot to deny that it could be a difficult game. Even still, anything less that 3 points has to be considered a poor result for me and one I'll be very disappointed with.

Liverpool vs Leicester - Premier League (20/21 - Game 9)
I’d even rest Robbo tomorrow. I’d start Tsimikas as tomorrow will be an intense game.

Why would I do that? I think Robbo needs a rest, that’s all. If he does his hammy, he would be out for weeks. Why would we have a squad?
Do one Bob.

He can rest next week. We have 3 of our preferred back 4 out and you want to make it 4? Against a decent team with a potent attacker? You're very blaise almost arrogant with the ease you seem to think this match could be.

Well no. I’m just fearful he just needs an enforced rest and it’s important to know when to rest him. He is arguably our one player who’s the fittest of the lot and his game relies on pace and runs.
Arrogant no. We’re the champions.
In any case, you can rest as I don’t make the decision to play him or not ffs.

Does my head in when people take that attitude to fatigue. Like a player can just write his hamstring an IOU? Maybe Joe Gomez’ tendon wouldn’t have snapped if someone had only told that him he could have the next training session off?
Fredo isn’t being blaise, he’s just concerned about an important player who has already packed in a lot of minutes this season and is well overdue a break in this relentless schedule.

Does your head in? if he's tired, fucked, knackered he won't play. Simple.
If he declares himself fit, the medical team agree then to consider resting him in this game is mental. Maybe consider asking him to reign in some of the attacks, to play using his head instead of his heart. If we're winning, take him off.

Yeah, it does
Well, obviously. Players will almost always say they’re fit, unless they physically can’t walk. The medical team will have assessed him and advised Klopp. I trust them to make the right decision, but if there’s any risk then they’d be completely justified in resting him.

Fuck me our squad is so strong. Considering we are missing Trent, Virgil, Gomez, Henderson, Oxlade, Salah and Thiago...... To have shaq and Origi on the bench still is genuine strength in depth.

Confirmed lineup, but no Thiago.
Leighton Clarkson, whoever he is, makes the bench.

That’s a pretty decent team. Hinges on the midfield gelling.

Thiago hasn't been in full training yet, so it was always to be a "no chance" attached.
Shaq was training though, so he must have come down with something of late.

Do we know what exactly the injury is from the impact that is keeping Thiago out?

Bench looks naff, nothing whatsoever to impact the score. Massive loss not having shaq available to create something. With Fab back I feel more confident though.

Naby & Jones need to have productive games today! Gini does what he does, he’s great at keeping the ball. Keita needs to be the creative threat chipping in with either assists or goals...ideally both! Would be great for Gini to continue his international scoring form for us today. Strong forward line up with Jota & Mane.
