the roof being on when Riise scored his goal in the millennium is what broke the record, still a cracking stadium in the Liverpool end of it with the single tier, the other 3 sides not so much

looking at the Spurs pics, it has 3 tiers around 3 sides, 3 tiers don't tend to generate good atmospheres with almost a delay between them, that middle tier for corporates does a lot of damage as well with gaping hole between 'proper' fans. The stadium doesnt look very steep, always found steeper stadiums to be more intimidating and generate more noise.

The main problems teams have who move grounds, is not sitting fans together properly to generate noise, Arsenal were at the Emirates for 10 years before naming a stand the clock end, ten years of them people sat all over the shop.

Look at Crystal Palaces home form this season after the dispute their singing section being dispersed

I've always wondered how Palace manage to get the whole crowd singing in unison and presumed it was because the ground was small, makes a lot of sense that it's single tier stands that make the difference

Sanchez equalizer disallowed for Spurs. Kane interfering with play the reason.

That’s Spurs out. No chance they’re getting through the group now.

Diego Simeone often wears black shirt and tie, but he's actually able to pull it off.

They didn't have much luck last night though really. Had a perfectly good goal ruled out for offside and the red card was BS. But they aren't playing very impressively this season but are only 2 points behind, and it will be interesting to see whether they'll play the reserves in the EL and focus entirely on the league.

Huh??!

Even my rabidly blinkered and biased Spurs mate thought it was a red.

They've had an easier start to the season than us and play City on Monday night, so they won't be 2 points behind for long.

Dembele should have been sent off in the first half and early in the second anyway. Dirty cunts.

Strange, because the striker was never going to get to the ball first. Maybe not even second. Your mate must be in a minority.

Yeah it was a definite red.

The striker knocks the ball past Loris who takes him out at the knees.

You need your eyes fixing Kenneth!!!

Watch the clip. Managed to find it.

He is late, contact just below the knee, absolute nailed on, stone wall, reddest of red cards.

You only had to look at my post above

The left leg was nowhere near the striker and the contract was with the shin from a shin/knee with the studs on the ground. He's late because of the flick to the side. A yellow card tackle for me (and it's certainly not just me)

Yeah, he's late because the ball is played miles past him, and he makes clear high contact with a lunge. Its a red every day of the week.

If its not just you. Its you and this guy

Sliding in, feet off the ground and studs up.
Players have been given fouls against even if they win the ball but have gone sliding in with studs up.

Says the guy who repeatedly described contact with the ankle as contact with the knee.

That was certainly a red card. Daft decision from the keeper and that for me was the only sensible outcome.
