Why do these stadium renders always seem to have flares in the stands?

Not a fan of that Roma design, could have been so much cooler integrating the Colosseum. Always prefer an older feel to grounds, as some new ones seem to have a spaceship vibe.

Interesting take on Turkish / Islamic architecture. Bland on the inside. Like a poor man's Old Trafford from the mid 90s.

Beyond tacky. It's looks as if it fell from the inside a Kinder egg.

Bender, can you use carriage returns when posting pics? It kills my browser having them side by side like that.

Re the design, I like it.

It's interesting that they are following Juve's lead in downsizing.

A shit design on a crappy piece of software, looks like something Parry would come up with. No flair or originality.

You think?

I quite like the football stadium disguised as an office block look myself.

And its definitely original.

It's probably quite a good way of paying for it too. Build a load of premium office space into the design and sell / rent it out.

Why are they building a new one? 48k is a big drop from San siro levels.

Love the San Siro especially as it reminds me of the 1990 world cup. Be disappointed when they leave.

Juve did the same.

The local authorities usually own the stadia in Italy. That means the club can't control all the income and are forever paying rent.

Build your own and you're in control.

But you have to be able to fill it. So you have to build accordingly.

That said, the disguised office concept leaves very little room for subsequent expansion.
