Drug Takers in Sport
Should they be banned for good?
My thoughts are if they are found guilty then they had their chance and have thrown it away
Or is it too rife in sport to carry out??

Well...
As a kid I loved athletics but that sport borders on farce nowadays. Rife with cheats, who on earth is gonna pay attention to it?
Athletics may as well stop.

There should be separate events and leagues for drug enhanced sportsmen/women, who no doubt would be faster and stronger than their non drug-taking counterparts. So who would you watch? Druggies doing 9 second 100m sprints or "clean" sprinters running much slower? I'm not advocating drug taking or anything, but we want to see people achieving new records and the body is only capable of doing so much without assistance.
Ian.

I'd pay to watch the drugged up olympics.
All atheletes taking steroids and other performance enhancing drugs to do things that nobody else has ever done before breaking all sorts of records in the process.
That would be something, plus with the Olympics being in London in 2012, the drugs won't be in short supply!

Yes they might as well legalise the use of steroids in sport and then in 15 years time when they all die the athletes might get the message that having an olympic gold medal is not worth killing yourself

I dunno, I'm sure some athletes would take the gold.

just like neck high challenges should be positively encouraged in football; wanton drug abuse should be forced on athletes

Who mentioned the word "forced"? People have choices in life - many people in sports choose to take drugs to enhance their performance. If that's what they want to do I have no problem with it - as long as the rules are the same for everyone.
