Awful news. Really upset me. Not sure why it has got me, I guess the age, the fact she was playing pro tennis a year ago, seemed so bubbly, determined etc. Rip.

Can't believe this hasn't being mentioned, what with her being a big Red.

I'm happy to help her- got a think for tennis players:

Horrendous. Especially as they are such a high profile couple.

Stan looks likes he's heading out in the first round then 2-1 down and a double break down.

Out 6-0 in the 4th set, massive shock that.

Opens up the draw for Nadal a bit

Guy that was in my class in primary school is looking to get into the Britain national team... Wears the Union Jack wristband and all apparently Murray will have the final say, if he wants a foreigner on the team.

Not an easy match. Murray was gabbling away to himself throughout. I think he's got an invisible pet rabbit called Harvey.

I didn't see it, but it seems as though he is scratching around for form. A decent run would be good, but his target must be wimbledon.

I see Stan was dumped out in the first round.

That is the best Murray has played since last summer - he was superb. Even conceded to Verdasco on a contentious point to avoid him murdering the umpire.

I think there were signs in that 5 setter - and he seems to have taken great motivation. He won't win the French but it's great practice for defending Wimbledon.

I saw him play against Nadal a couple of weeks ago and he played some fantastic tennis. Inconsistent, but at least he's putting in the odd good performance now. Hopefully it's slowly coming back.

He looked good last night but he'll know he should have finished the Verdasco match half an hour earlier. His body seemed to be ok too.

I reckon he'll beat Monfils (how well depending which Monfils turns up). I'm certainly going to be glued to that one. I hope.

He should have too much for Monfils, looking forward to Nadal vs Ferrer in the quarters Ferrer has not seemed so overawed playing Rafa of late.

Fully expect a Djok steamrolling of Raonic later and I'm very interested to see how the Berdych match goes

Djokovic cruises through as expected and he's going to be playing Gulbis who seemingly took Berdych apart.

Novak will dismantle Gulbis without too much effort IMHO.

In the duracell bunny v Rafa match I expect Rafa to come through. Yeah he's creeping up on Rafa (and may know more about Rafa's back problems than most) but I'm not sure he's going to be able to do it.

As of now it looks like a Murray/Rafa semi to me. The money will be on Rafa. But not mine. Too close to call.

Anyone to win it from Rafa's side of the draw has their work cut out for them; Murray, Monfils, Ferrer and Rafa will take a lot out of each other, probably Djokovics best chance of winning this title this year as his side of the draw has opened quite nicely for him.

Saying that never write Nadal off at the French!!

His backhand is a thing of beauty. Monfils is having a mare.

5-0 for Murray in the 2d - Monfils body language is all wrong.

That was bizarre.

Another Semi Final for Murray
Though somewhat erratic he does seem back to his best form, which to be fair, could be somewhat erratic.
