Half time 1-0 to the Chavs.
Woeful half from us.

Room for improvement
Ball not sticking up front, midfield looks like they don’t know what they are supposed to be doing positionally. Lots of work for Klopp.

I missed the start so didn't see the lineups. It wasn't until i read this comment that I realized he was playing on the field.
Gomez at FB doesn't work. And this midfield is shit tonight. Time for some changes. Although it wouldn't surprise me a bit if Klopp left it as is for the start of the second half.

Obvious change is Ox for Firmino. That midfield could do with a hand.

No pace in midfield or right back. Least heavy metal team selection ever?

Some of the same issues as in the Norwich game, midfield looks completely disjointed and the defence looks exposed when being ran at.
I'm starting to worry that we've left ourselves short this summer when there was absolutely no reason for us to.

Ox has never been a good wide player.
I dont understand why we dont keep mane wide where he's comfortable and have ox central in a deeper 9. Running with the ball.
No trent and 50% of attacking threat gone.
I know this is knee jerk, but I'm worried about this season, this game is merely highlighting some of my fears. I haven't said much as its negative but I feel our midfield was our weak spot when it came to drawing games and we haven't addressed it.
We could have signed 5 decent players and they would still of got plenty of game time.
Matip has to play at centre back as first choice with virgil.

All this 7 trophy shit has weighed us down. Not seen a single Red suggesting we're nailed on to win anything, just serious challengers. The press love making up ridiculous crap

Robbo and Mane is such a productive outlet for us it seems mad to change it.
I reckon Klopp is having a look at a few things here... and they ain’t working!

It's only half time Bob, reserve any fears for the final whistle if it doesn't get any better

Whether we win or lose doesn't define our season.
Just think we got every drop of juice out of the group and fresh legs and quality were needed to take the next step.
If we play our front 3 it's better.
But our best 3 in midfield whatever we put out lacks creativity. Same last year.
Anyway, come on Redmen. Pride.

We're pressing a bit higher this season and it seems it's been something we've been working on. Obviously we're having a few issues especially out of transition when Chelsea were winning all second balls under which period they scored and threatened to score more.

To be fair I share you 'fears', performances are there to be judged, you don't have to wait for results to follow before forming an opinion.
Fingers crossed we turn it around in the second half, but whatever we're experimenting with at the moment isn't really working too well.

Hmmm. Kante and Pulisic just took over the game for the last 25 mins. Nothing happening on our left. AOC (!) is lost on the left (!). This fuckin living on our nerves with a thin squad is a total headwreck. Klopp demands levels of faith that are hard to keep up all the time. Until we perform miracles that is. If we're going to not play our bst 11, I'd prefer to see some of the youngsters coming in rather than fucking around with formations. Anyway, this will all change when/if we win.

Did I miss them pointing out defenders shouldn't have their hands in that position and it was a penalty?

Oh. Just said it now. Proximity doesn't fucking matter when he moves his arms into an unnatural position after the ball is struck
