Would be shocked if its not a Hendo-Fab-Thiago midfield and only spot up for grabs in the front three is who Klopp wants to go with in the middle. Nunez or Firmino. I think he'll go with Firmino and give Nunez another 40mins off the bench.

And the other decision is goal keeper.

Jurgen Klopp has indicated that Darwin Nunez might have to begin life on the bench during Liverpool’s Premier League opener away at Fulham on Saturday, speaking to the Liverpool Echo.
Then again, that does not mean the club’s marquee summer signing won’t end up making his mark at Craven Cottage.

Like Gomez he can cover both RB & RCB so that should be enough to have him ahead of the English Maldini

He also has a little pace which Philips pretty much has none of.

Yeah there is that too. Not sure you’d need to much pace against Mitrovic though

The worst thing is I can’t blame my senior years on my lack of pace because I never had any. I was a 1500m & 3000m runner when at school so endurance was my thing.

Though if Philips does get brought on, I hope he plays an absolute blinder.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see him sold on deadline day if Ibou is back in the mix. Maybe we keep Sepp till Xmas ?

If Konate is back I would not be surprised to see the former sold and the latter loaned out.
Though given how often some of our CBs get knocks, a decent fifth choice might be needed so might be that Sepp stays or at the very least has a clause in his loan deal for him to be recalled.

Yeah with Ramsay not even having kicked a ball for us yet our natural backup right now would be Millie but Sepp offers some versatility. Yeah the recall clause sounds a plan.

First shot of the game is by Fulham as they try to push us back and catch us cold with a bit of pressure in the opening minutes.

Fulham trying to play a high line and push us into our own half. Working so far for them but I hope they stick to this tactic all game because once we click there is a lot of space for our attack to run into.
Right now they are the ones with the dominant press.

Fulham expending a lot of energy on what is a hot day in London. We look like we're just measuring the situation so far.

Rope a doping them.
And we almost just did that with a Thiago pass finding a ton of space down the right flank. Just over hit it a bit though. Just a matter of time before a pass is spot on and Mo or Diaz are away imo.

I'm definitely hoping so! It is baking down here today, my phone says 22 but it feels a lot hotter for some reason.

Diaz has the ball in but Robertson was offside in the build up

They are certainly out pressing us at present and they are getting the secind ball more often than not.
Does feel a bit like they are gambling on going all out early and hoping to land a few shots to kill us off before we get it together.
We so far look nothing like how we looked against City in the Community shield which I suppose shows the difference betrween a fully competitive game like that of today and a glorified friendly like the Community shield.
Think we will weather what Fulham throw at us though and beat them with a few goals to spare. They are just leaving way too much space at the back for us not to get in at some point.
And the ball is in the net the first time we break into that space
Edit: Is offside

The ref seems to be blind to some heavy tackles on us.
Oh Salah darts away on the right now.
Starting to look more alive all of a sudden and our pace merchants are starting to find room to run into in Fulham's half.
