I read somewhere (a random comment on Twitter ) that they're closed until Monday now, hence the timing. They're making themselves look a bit silly now (imo obviously)

The LNP Government are a bunch of total fuckwits. Comically out of their depth in Federal politics. They lie, deflect, obfuscate and blame others for their utter ineptitute.
Can't wait to vote this pack of cunts out.

What a clusterfuck but Djockovic is still a deceitful egotistical prick and I'm thoroughly enjoying hating him.

False information on his visa form and disregarding his positive test and not self isolating will screw him over. Easy argument that his disregard for health regulation is a danger to other people.

I like Djokovic the tennis player - he's an awesome sight, a machine, the complete player - but this stuff has been diabolical for him, his reputation and I think his legacy too. He might well end up the most successful player of all-time - I think he will - but this will at the very least taint his legacy if not completely ruin it. What a twat.

Apparently there is almost zero legal comeback on this for ND. The Immigration minister has basically used 'ultimate power'.
There are mistakes on both sides, but the arrogance of Djokovic on this and everything he has done over the last few weeks is staggering. The lack of compliance to rules during a pandemic is staggering.
The fact is that most likely he didnt have Covid, he used it as a mechanism to gain entry to Australia. His breathtaking arrogance is what will do for his legacy.

I heard that he will not be allowed to enter Australia for three years if his visa is revoked. So that’s funny.

It's glorious. Kick the wanker out but drag it on for ages. Rile all the Serbs up. Just need Nadal to win it now.

Karatsev who crushed Murray at the weekend is getting destroyed by someone ranked 70 odd in the first round of the Aus Open....3-6 0-2 down at the moment. Been broken four times.

Embarrassing stuff this. Murray a set and a break down to a qualifier ranked 120.

Looks fucked after his five setter the other day.
Not moving his legs, timing is off.
One thing I’ve noticed is even when he is winning 3 set matches it is rarely in straight sets. He is going long in every victory. The margins you need to win at elite level are probably negated when you are carrying about a metal hip.
I keep hoping for one last hurrah for Andy, but sport just isn’t like that.

You'd think Andy was top 10 in the world and in fine health the way some of yous are going on about him.
He's 100+ in the rankings and is playing with a hip made from chewing gum and sticks.
It's a medical miracle that he's playing tennis competitively at any level.

I just find it hard to watch and I'm not sure what he's getting out of it. All these immense struggles to go out in the 2nd round or whatever. What's the point? Like Buzzo says every win seems to be a monumental effort and it means he just can't string wins together.
Out in straight sets.
First time he's ever lost to a qualifier and the lowest ranked player he's ever lost to in a Slam.

Agreed. Given the heights he reached it's a tough watch. Akin to watching a punch drunk boxer being wheeled out against bums he'd have wiped the floor with in his prime.
I imagine he wants to go out on his terms i.e. playing tennis and if that entails losing to the 120th ranked player in the world then so be it. He's more than earned the right to dictate how his career should end.

Absolutely he has yeah. I hope he has one more go at each of the Slams this year and calls it quits. A run to R4 or something at Wimbledon would be nice.

He is in and about the 100's on form, which as you say is an achievement in itself. He just doesn't seem to have access to the levels left to blow away the guys who are on the same level as him. Beating a top seed in 5 sets with a metal hip shows how good he still is, but it is a war, and in Slam tennis you need the fitness to go again 48 hours later. A lot of his success was in his ability to run down pretty much every ball, his ability to mix his game, and tactically find a way past almost every opponent.
He looked burnt out today.
He has spoken quite eloquently about his place in world tennis now, and the thing we all forget is these guys love to compete, once he quits thats it. It will definitely be on his own terms. He
I can see him perhaps hanging around for a couple of years, and he will always be a threat at Queens and Wimbledon. But he needs an almost perfect set of circumstances to progress...
Such a shame that his body gave up when it did as he was on track to pick up a few more Slams and was World Number 1...

We were lucky to witness what he did for sure. It would be amazing to see him impact one more slam. Seeing where he is now makes you realise how much we took his previous success for granted.
He must both love and hate the Aus Open. 5 final defeats FFS.

Kyrgios is ridiculous.
I’ve watched 5 mins. He has won a point where he was forced to play a tweener and has also played an under arm serve
He won both points.
The crowd

Makes a few chances, but can’t convert but loses the 4th set.
It will never happen, but if NK were ever to get to the Aus open final, it would be the best tennis match ever.
He doesn’t want it badly enough to compromise his life style and a bit of me respects that. He’s got the lot though, every shot… and he makes it look easy at times. He just lacks focus.
