Shaping up nicely.

I drew Rory in the sweep at my golf club, it's obviously put the kiss of death on him.

Some quality golf today. Molinari leads by 2 from Woods and Finau for the final day.

i did wonder. Was planning on ushering the family to bed and settling down to watch as per most years.
Quite a story here if Woods holds on.

Never thought he’d win another one tbh.......his body looked broken mentally and physically. First time he has won a major coming from behind.....The Masters always has a story

What an epic story. I've never been the biggest Tiger fan but it's a legendary comeback after all the stuff he's been through over the years.

It is truly remarkable.
Quote:
Tiger Woods is speaking to the media at Augusta National: "I had the spinal fusion surgery. It was not a fun time, a tough couple of years. But I was able to start participating in life again, be around my kids again, take them to school. Golf was not in my near future or distant future.
"I knew I would be part of the game but playing the game, I couldn't even putt in the back yard with my son.
"After the surgery I started feeling a lot better. The doctor said I could chip again, then start swinging. Then he said I could hit driver in a couple of weeks.
"I hit driver, let's say it carried 90 yards. I was apprehensive. I started ramping up, playing , getting a feel for golf again. I then played some rounds with Justin Thomas, Rickie Fowler, Dustin Johnson, they were fantastic in the process of helping me along.
"I wouldn't say this is an amazing story but in order to have had the success I have had, I have had a lot of support."

Never cared much for Woods either but I had a tear in my eye during the scenes at the end, lol.

Will be interesting to see how Tiger goes over the next few years. Going close in the Open last year and now winning the Masters suggests he is back.
He was calm as yesterday, bar down the 18th where he had a shot to play with anyway. Watching him land on the green on the 12th, after 3 in a row had played into the water.
If he plays sensibly on the tour, and focuses on the Majors, playing conservatively as he has he could be a real force.

The Masters and British Open suit his shot making ability and based on yesterday he still have the nerve when in the mix. Not sure if he'll pass Jack but who knows.

Just watching the gaaaaaahlf and wondering, what the fuck has happened to Spieth? He's doing ok here, but looked at the world rankings and he's ranked 39, below the likes of Casey and Poulter. I don't follow golf as closely as I used to. Not long ago it looked like Spieth was gonna contend for every single major - what's happened to him?

I still watch the majors but his driving is not as straight and it’s pitting pressure on his short game. He is too young and too talented not to come back but his length off the tee will always be a disadvantage against the monster hitters out there.
I backed DJ and Brooks for the PGA

You'd just walk back to the club house and start getting the ales in wouldn't you?

Yes. Absolutely yes.
I used to play competitively in my teens and I walked off more than once.

Poor Duval . I followed him in his first round when he won in 2001. He was a hell of a player back then
I've never walked off in anger but I have ran out of balls playing on my own and had to walk off
