I just cannot believe they are 14 points ahead of us. It's madness.

they have been very lucky with injuries this season. They've also been given about 55 penalties.....

I think Bruno Fernandes seems to be a bit of an arsehole but he makes them tick in a big way offensively. If he got injured, then they'd really feel it.

Seems they have agreed a £230m, 5yr sponsorship deal for their shirts...how does that compare with our deal with SC?

£40/year and i think it's up at the end of the year.

We should be looking to 45-50m next deal.

Amazing that sponsoring United can be more damaging to the share price than being the tool of choice for tech scammers

Standard.

The guy who organised the previous deal was immediately sacked.

When "windows security" or "your internet provider" call me I always ask them if I should log into teamviewer - it really confuses them.

One half decent player shows up and this lot become completely unhinged. He's not even the best midfielder in Manchester.

You've got to hope that for next season there's a real crackdown on the diving for penalties. The number of times you see their players instigate contact which is usually just a light touch and they go down like they've been shot. This season for quite some time any contact was deemed a penalty which is wrong and encourages players too look for it.

Bring back the cards for diving!

24 goals for United, Half are pelanties. When you watch him play can see why none of the big teams would want him. far too wasteful, His passing stats must be pretty dreadful

His stats are pretty decent. As expected for an attacking midfielder his pass completion % is not very high (as in high 80s like you might see from a deep playing midfielder or CB) but still comes it at around a 78% average for PL games this season (slightly higher for his national team) which is good for a position in which you play a lot of higher risk passes.

De Bruyne for example tends to be around the 80% to 81% mark.

Using De Bruyne as a yardstick, Fernandes' surface stats match up pretty well to those of De Bruyne and his underlying stats seem to be fairly comparable as well from a quick glance.

His underlying stats suggest he would thrive in a more progressive team with more movement around and ahead of him, and the eye test would back that up I suspect as to me he has always looked a player that is putting up good numbers despite the tactical set up he is playing within.

Haha. I think he was close to giving the ref a yellow.

I assume that you are referring to the 'if that was my son and he stays down...' comment. The thing that I found interesting is that he says stay down rather than go down as more or less all their team go down under less contact than that...

A side note really but I found that one of the worst games to watch in a while two despicable sides using all the sly and dirty tricks I really was hoping that either the ref would have enough or it would boil over and finish about 8 a aide

My missus is a United fan, so their matches are on in our house, usually I watch them up until the point that they go ahead, then I will find something else to do.
