More often than not recently they've got their transfers right.
Moratta £15m
Tevez £12m
Pogba Free
Vidal £8m
etc
And they don't spend stupid amounts of cash either.
How is it we make such a pigs ear of signing players time and time again?

Llorente and Evra on free and now Khedira as well apparently. Even if they lose Pogba and/or Vidal they'll have a good team.

Diego Costa has not settled at Chelsea and is willing to take a pay cut to rejoin Atletico Madrid this summer, according to a Spanish report.
Costa scored 20 Premier League goals in just 24 starts in his debut season at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea comfortably won the Premier League title, but the Brazilian-born striker is unhappy living in London, according to Spanish newspaper Marca.
'Although his season has been notable in a sporting sense, Diego Costa is not happy at Chelsea,' the report reads.
'His problem is his lacking of adaptation to London, to the rainy English climate, the language, the plastic fans and the food.
'All of these have been key in moving the striker to make contact with the Atletico Madrid directors... with one objective. To return home, to the club he arrived at at 17 years old.'
Costa allegedly doubled his wages when making the £35million move to Chelsea last summer, but Marca claims he is willing to take a significant pay cut to move back to Madrid.
Chelsea, however, will not want to part company with the 26-year-old, who may be forced into submitting a transfer request if the reports are true.

Was listening to Paulo Bandini this morning and he seems to think that the chance of Pogba leaving this summer is a lot less than it was 4 months or so ago. The fact that they were in the CL final and have signed Khedira seems to have changed things. He didnt quote anyone directly, but he said something along the lines of being surprised if he left this summer now. But expects him to leave eventually for one of the Giant sides.

Barclays Premier League clubs have submitted the list of players that they will be keeping in their squads, and the ones they will be releasing, for 2014/15.
Premier League rules require all clubs to submit their retained and released lists to the Premier League by the third Saturday in May.
Please note that players signified as a "free transfer" or released by a club on the expiry of their contract on 30 June 2015, could remain there next season and so this list should not be seen as definitive for players leaving their club.
The information below is correct as of 28 May. A player's status may have changed since that date.

Premier League player released list for 2014/15 season
Which players have been put on the released list by their Premier League clubs?
Premier League clubs have submitted the list of players that they will be keeping in their squads, and the ones they will be releasing this summer.
It is important to note that although these players are on the released list, it does not neccessarily mean they are heading for the exit door. It may just mean their contract expires on June 30 and has still to be extended.
Abou Diaby, as expected, is on the Arsenal list and it appears his nine-year injury-hit career at the Emirates is over. Ron Vlaar is among those named released by Aston Villa - but the club has offered him a new contract.
Hull have released the most players - 13 - whilst champions Chelsea have just one, Didier Drogba.
Liverpool confirmed the departures of captain Steven Gerrard, Glen Johnson and goalkeeper Brad Jones.
Gerrard is joining Los Angeles Galaxy next month while the latest club to be linked with Johnson are Besiktas, the side which knocked the Reds out of the Europa League last season.
Arsenal
Abou Diaby, Jack Jebb, Oluwasemilogo Adesewo Ajayi, Austin Lipman, Ryo Miyaichi, Brandon Ormonde-Ottewill, Josh Vickers

Diaby only ever got fit to boss the midfield against us and before anyone says Ron Vlaar the answer is no.

If that is true, some deal. Just don't know why the hell he'd go there. They are in a worse state than we are.
