For me, we need to settle on a formation and pretty much stick to it every week.
GW can play a number of positions but i think he will make most difference playing in the same position every week.
I would like to see him start on the left wing in a 4-3-3 formation. And maybe on the right instead if Sadio Mane isn't available. I think GW has the athleticism to be able to support the full backs whilst also offering an attacking option when we are attacking (and counter attacking)
For me, the biggest improvement with the players we have will be by putting Coutinho in a #8 position in a 4-3-3 formation. Coutinho is at his devastating best when he has the ball at his feet, deep on the pitch with lots of runners in front of him. To get the best out of Coutinho will bring us most success in my view.
So I would like to see Lallana taken out of the team altogether and used as a sub / squad player. GW moved to a wide position and a very hard working striker to bring it all together.
I think with a team like:
------------------------------------MIGNOLET-----------------------------
CLYNE-------------LOVREN----------------------KLAVEN--------MORENO
-------------------------------------CAN------------------------------------
---------------HENDERSON------------------COUTINHO-------------------
MANE-----------------------------------------------------------WJINALDUM
--------------------------------ORIGI----------------------------------------
will have most of the team playing in their preferred positions. And although people will think that we should make space for Sturridge and Firmino in the team, i just don't see them working hard enough (maybe Firmino in place of Origi at times) to play the way Klopp wants us to set up.
For me, this line up - with players like Firmino, Sturridge, Lallana, Ings, Milner, gives Klopp the best starting 11 to implement his style of play. It allows us to break at pace but also gives us the opportunity to defend as a pack as well. But it also gives us the opportunity to change the game from the bench with the likes of Sturridge and Ings or to close the game from the bench with players like Lucas and Milner.

looks good to me and wijnaldum has played wide left for netherlands and newcastle before. We all know coutinho has played in the middle 3 before too. we get more control in midfield, and a bit more pace and penetration in the final 3rd but we have to trust kloppo.

A lightweight midfield will not get better by putting Coutinho there. If we had a solid one or two DMs then perhaps. Although swapping Wjinaldum and Coutinho would work.
I'd never tire of watching Coutinho cutting in and shooting.

Yup and made even weirder by the fact that he is being played out of position.

I think he is one of those players that its not obvious just how much he influenced play other than the obvious assists runs etc, but I think anytime he has played we look a lot more fluid

Guess Kloppy sees something we don't at the moment , hoping couple of weeks and he will start being more involved

He isn't being played out of position, he has played in a deeper role for the Netherlands and for PSV, of course he can play no.10 or out wide too.
His passing is decent and he is continually receiving the ball and moving it on but so far its been mostly conservative passing with the odd foray on the edge of the box.
I think maybe some people might have expected him to take people on or take more risks, I did but most likely because of the role he is in, he's playing it safer. I think he's been ok so far, nice assist against arsenal and a couple of chances around the box but other than that nothing spectacular.

He cant pass, he can't shoot and his tackling isn't up to scratch. He doesn't attack and he doesn't defend. Its like watching raul meireles all over again.

Done ok in first but no pressure, had a stinker of a second half though. It's not his position though in all fairness to him.

I've not really seen anything from him that suggests that he's good enough to be a No10. He'd be behind Coutinho, Firmino and Lallana so I'm not sure he'd get games there.

Surely he's better than this? Maybe he's just a little awestruck playing for a bigger team and needs to bed in.

I haven't for us, but have for Newcastle, and once for PSV in a game I can't for the life of me remember who they were playing but they was ace.
He's got a decent pass on him and can get a few goals, but he's not strong enough or good enough in the tackle to be a CM, I said when we was looking to buy him I was happy if we got him for a decent price, as a backup we could rely on, I didn't know we was going to pay £25m and then use him to fill a position we've needed a good player in.
Seen other people suggest it but he's a square peg in a round hole, there's talent in there but think we will only see it as he creeps further forward.

We'll probably be waiting until next summer for a proper central midfielder. Until then, we're going to have to get used to Wijnaldum being used there, I think.

Nah, if he doesn't work out he'll be Wijnalbum to Harv, surely?
I'm hoping he's just finding his feet at the moment. He's surely been brought in to offer goals from midfield with a knack for making late runs into the box, offering an aerial threat and powerful shots from cutbacks etc. On that basis I could see where the signing was coming from. But then we don't seem to set up to get that out of him, so I'm lost
Not seen enough of him as a player to be confident he will or won't make it here. Just watching, waiting and hoping. Will be interesting to see if his role changes when Can comes back in.
