He was the first one I thought of too, purely because of Championship Manager. Zaki is the only other one I can think of.

I'm impressed how many important headers he gets in attacking the far post.

His movement and timing of runs is very good, the only concern I have about him is his technique, it's not top level. Although, if it was, he'd be worth £80m instead of £35m and playing for Barcelona I suppose.

See him tap his head to Phil just before? bit of movement and goal. Boss. It was clear them two would be great together in pre season. What a bargain.

I absolutely love him and he'll comfortably get 20 this season.
He's kind of a luxury Luis Garcia - better than him, misses chances but is a constant threat, scores goals and is fucking brilliant. For their penalty tonight it all came from Salah giving a really, really bad ball away in midfield and they broke before Mignolet fouled. I was fuming haha. But I fucking love him, a real favourite already. 6 goals and it's still September.

Settled so quickly for us ,
Can't wait for him and Mane on the same pitch again.

His shooting technique is wank, despite his goals for us, but he's a sensation. Works hard for the team, and I mean really grafts, and has excellent creative ability. He's direct, which is what we need in addition to Mane.
His transfer fee is looking an absolute bargain for us at the moment.

We have to bear in mind he's been in the team for 3 months and is still learning the way we play, especially in defensive situations.

I bet he has more chances than anyone over the course of the season purely from speed and instinct. Brilliant signing.

If he took all his chances...
Amazing start to the season from him. Didn't expect him to be scoring back post headers..!

but the way his ketwig cushioned the ball and allowed it to be aimed so well.

But no footballer ever does that. I think it's to his absolute credit that he takes up so many goalscoring positions, routinely posing a massive threat and getting into great positions. It's not like he scores fuck all. He's scoring loads.

Not unlike Andy Cole.
Missed loads. Scores loads. But probably had more chances than anyone else. It takes a special kind of talent to keep getting those chances regularly from basically, scraps.

He would be a 100m+ player not a 40m+ one. Think he will miss plenty of sitters and score plenty others!!

No I agree, I was just surmising.
He has a knack of missing the easy ones and score the hard ones. Its not inconceivable that he could be on 8-10 goals already..!
He's been good for pretty much a goal a game so far which is an incredible return, given that he isn't a centre forward. I think he is going to get even better.

But Cole was a centre forward. Salah for a winger, albeit an inverted winger is unbelievable. I have United and City mates telling me he's "wank", and then shitting out of bets that he'll get 15 this season. One said to me "15 is fuck all, I'm not taking a bet that he'll be 'just decent'"

It's not really though. Cole's job was solely to score goals. Salah is a wide player with a different remit.

Thank fuck Dom went to bed.
Anyways, I think Salah will be one of those frustrating players that you shout at the tv but he will rack up serious numbers. Brilliant start here, he will miss chances but at least he is getting in the positions to get these chances. Him and Phil work amazing together, movement of Salah and vision of Phil.

I had one argue with me on Friday night that Lukaku will score more that Mane, Salah and Firmino conbined. He wasn't trying to wind me up or exaggerating to make a point, he honestly believed it.

Just remember Suarez in his first season and a half. He was just as wasteful and had a penchant for hitting wood.
Salah will improve with time once he and the rest of the team settle down. And even if he doesnt... he is doing okay.

I think if we bought at the end of the summer you could have been looking a quote of 70m+. For the all moaning concerning the transfer window that was a shrewd piece of business and against one of the shrewdest in the game Monchi.

He has had a brilliant start to his LFC career.
6 PL games
4 goals
7 chances created
1 assist
9/11 take-ons
68% shot accuracy
That last stat is the eye catching one, and is the one that is very easy to see on the pitch too. He shoots a lot but he tends to hit the target more often than not.
If we had a new striker brought in and he started his first season with those stats we would be pretty happy with him, so to be getting that return from a winger in his first season with us is great going.

Yup and he could have easily had another 3 or 4 goals to add to that. I do think he will be frustrating at times but will rack up serious numbers come the end of the season.

The best thing about Salah is how much he could still improve.
Obviously his finishing needs work.
I think he can also get a lot better at taking on his man.
His final ball also needs improving.
I think if he can improve in those areas even a bit he's going to be world class.

I agree, there's a lot of areas which need work, yet, his stats are fantastic. Such a dangerous player to have in the team. If mine and Mane both get 20 then we can afford the Firmino luxury.
