It would be fair to say Bob has read the BBC gossip page, which has run this exact story from the Mirror.

We keep winning silverware ( or at least being genuinely in the hunt of them ) and I think, like a lot of top players, he will want to be where he has a chance of winning medals.

Mate you're a fucking joke.

Why is everything so black and white with you?

He's not my favourite player but how can anyone loathe him? He's been fucking brilliant.

I'm just saying I think he will want to move as he has no real allegiance and why should he to us. I also think he wouldn't be as good if he leaves. Hardly ground breaking thinking surely.

Hardly fucking loathing. It's a forum and posts need posting in order to keep the place going.

The Mirror have run that exact story this morning. Salah has turned down Real and Juve will apparently stay for one more season and evaluate next summer - that have exactly zero sources to back it up.

Opinions. If in 3 years he is here. Great. I was wrong.

People don't like to read things they think might upset them do they. Ahhh diddums. I think Mo is an ambitious fella and will want a crack at Spain. Is this big news? Really?

Get a life people.

Hadn't seen it. But you won't believe it anyway. Any numbers of papers could run the same story is that's fucking obvious.

Doesn’t matter if I believe you. Just seems like a bit of a coincidence.

I reckon we will keep Salah for another couple of years yet. He has expressed that he always wanted to come back to the PL it’s why he left Roma, I think he wants to be a PL legend. Rumours saying otherwise are click bait and aimed to destabilise. Weird that it’s always us? You don’t see any Du Bruyne to Madrid rumours or Silva to Barca, it’s the press making stuff up for clicks because we have the bigger fan base.

I think there is probably an element that some of our players could potentially double their wages moving. I imagine City would match any pay that the spanish clubs offered.

I think Bob has a point TBH. If we win the PL next year I absolutely think Salah will want to move on. If not I think he'll stick around longer.

It's far from my philosophy in life, but for a professional sportsman at the highest level if you're not addressing new challenges what's the point?

Plenty of players are happy to stay where they are as long they’re winning trophies.

Some want a fresh challenge after a few titles.

It comes down to the individual. Who knows what Salah wants to do? It’s all just speculation.

I have no idea whether Mo will stay or go in the medium / long term and I actually doubt Mo does either at this juncture.

But that's not to say the point can't be put out there and reasonably debated.

I think the media story itself is kinda nonsense, not entirely sure how Salah could "reject" €150m moves when there have been no actual offers and the club wouldn't entertain any this summer regardless... however clearly to deny the possibility of someone like him wanting a new challenge at some point in the future would be silly, given what we've been through in the past with everyone from Torres to Suarez and almost even Stevie G on a couple of occasions.

What is so pleasing at the moment is that the vibe around the club is so good and this group still has so much more it can achieve together that I doubt that time will come with any of them as prematurely as it maybe had before. And if a Salah, or a Mane or Bobby does decide to move on eventually, having given us their best years and achieved real success, we have every reason to believe we'll jusr reinvest and come out of it even stronger. So imho losing players isn't really something we should be worried about any more, and that's a really nice feeling to have about the club for the first time in many years

With our Liverpool bias we obviously very much want him rested.

But he is an Icon in Egypt. 1 million votes in the last election without being a candidate. He missed most of the WC last year for them, so we’ve really no chance of him being rested, and he’d not want to miss games for them either.

He didn’t play their first game in last year’s WC, but he played and scored in the other 2.
But yeah, no chance he’s not playing if he’s available.

Yep.

He's not injured and has no track record of fatigue.

We're not in any position to tell a national team what to do with their players in a tournament unless they're actually injured. Keita being a case in point.

Egypt gave him the week off earlier, I think in March or something, so at least they have spared him when they could.

Yeah they gave him a decent little break for our run in, we cant complain about him playing now.

Klopp seems to have a decent relationship with quite a few of the national team managers apart from Nabys
