All gone a bit stale under Southgate. Think he’s been a really good voice these last few years. It the football is going insipid.

Looks like England might have to forfit the game against Iceland next week.
Iceland play Denmark, in Denmark. No one is allowed to come to the UK who has recently been to Denmark due to the new strain of Covid from Danish Mink Farms.
Id love it.

Would that not be Iceland having to forfeit?

UK Government set the rules.
Be unfair to punish Iceland if they are willing to play the game but are unable to legally enter a country

Play at a Neutral venue? Or would the English players then be banned from returing to the country having been in contact with Icelanders who had been in contact with Danes?

Does that mean Everton will get a boost with Sigurdsson having to quarantine?

Elite Sports Athletes are exempt from the travel and isolation rules and when traveling aboard unless they have symptoms?

Failed to qualify
That means some well needed rest for Gomez, Henderson, TAA, Milner and Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Sadly this also means that Scotland will be referred to as 'British' if they're successful.

Isn't the nations league pointless and just a back door to major tournaments? A replacement for friendlies? - I honestly don't know anything about it (and to be honest care even less)
Obviously if England had won it then the press would have been labelling the best team since 1966 but that goes with out saying given the hype about the national team

Unlikely. The FA will arrange some nonsense friendly on the date in question

Well, I'd love it as well, not for the points though, I just hate this competition.

Isn't it a pointless game anyway? Neither team can go through and I believe both are guaranteed to finish in their current positions in the group.
That said failing to fulfil an international fixture is a serious issue and I think England should be banned from all International competitions

Chuffed we're out. Rest for our players and Kane isn't lauded as the second coming of Christ. He's such a vanilla character, dull as ditch water... luckiest footballer there is. Simulates fouls by diving into opposition players (can't stand Calvert-Lewin either for this reason) and pleads innocence with every snide tackle or boot they leave in. Snidey fucking player and hate him and CL both. At least with that other dick, Ricarlison - he is what he is... doesn't try to hide it. Another snide fucker though.

During the shitshow between Iceland and England you can keep an eye out for Ísak Jóhannesson and Sveinn Guðjohnsen, sons of Eidur and Joey Gudjonsson who played for Stoke and Leicester IIRC. Ísak is only 17 and being scouted by Juventus and Madrid.
Sveinn is Eidurs oldest of three sons but it seems he is not rated as high as the others two. Isak is generating a lot of interest, being 17 and playing regularly with Norrkoping.
