Am I right in saying that the last time we signed a centre back in January, it was.... Agger.

Don't really care what he's worth tbh.
Given a choice between budget alternatives and balls deep on 1st choice I say fuckyeah, this'll do.
Good we've dropped the small time mentality.

VVD here next week, Kieta in the summer and Goretzka a good possibility. Fucking hell, Klopp is building something special here.
Allison and DeVrij in the summer and we'll be there. Love it.

Still need to sign a commanding keeper, but this is the first step in eradicating our brain farts in defence.

We've got a great defender who is also a leader on the pitch - with our weakness in defence and incredible attack what price do you put on a player who has the potential to sort out our back line?

The midfield is still an issue, especially defensively so until that is addressed I don't think VVD will excel.

I think we'll see a completely new midfield next season

Keita will exponentially improve our midfield. If we get Goretzka too it'll be fucking cocks out time

Any chance he is available against Burnley considering he is already signed?

I think he'll "have to adapt" on the training ground for a couple of weeks before we see him. Maybe Everton debut but wouldn't be surprised to see him take a bit longer.

I feel like FA Cup is a good opportunity to debut with all the fixtures in between. With the top 4 race so close it’s surely not low priority for us anyway. Question is who starts once he is bedded in... be interesting to see what they do.

I simply can't let myself get too excited by the thought of Goretzka in our side along with these other lads. Especially on a free, its bound to end in disappointment when he signs for City

That thread needed someone to balance out all the dick waving. And it needs balance. :-D
It's a positive and a step in the right direction, as we've been doing since Klopp has arrived. We will challenge City at some point, be it next year or the year after but we will.
So, he needs time, especially coming at this period. There will be no time for training and he will have to hit the ground running and his form and attitude haven't been great over the past few months.
Hopefully he hits the ground running, like Salah, and he helps us improve on an organisational level (defensive shape and composure on the ball).
