Putting this in general even though it has a big Liverpool trend. TTT isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but in fairness he does the data dirty work rather than use conjecture and assumptions. He has had a bee in his bonnet about the amount of pens we don’t get and has spent a significant amount of time analysing data to come up with this

Moral of the story - English players cute, foreign players cheats and Liverpool shafted

Shout out for the Finding Jack Charlton film on iPlayer for those not aware of it. Outstanding television and transcends football. Fabulous stuff.

Yep, Jack is as much a part of Irish culture now as he was a part of Irish sport.

This is apparently what Haaland / Raiola requested of Barca when they met this week

£20m for Raiola
£20m for Haaland Sr
£30m Net wages p/a

On top of the £150m + transfer fee

Oh and he wanted assurance Messi would be staying

Another reason and rightly so that we won't be anywhere near him or mbappe.

It's crazy money.

To be honest I wouldn't want us to sign him for that kind of money. He's a one-on-one with Pickford away from being worth fuck all.

For that cash, LFC could probably sign about 4 first team players?

Aye, at those sums I'd rather we went for Patson Daka tbh. Not that we're in the running for Haaland anyway.

At that cost itís a tiny minority of clubs that can afford him and may not be the best fit for him - I donít think he leaves this summer tbh.....especially not when he has a release clause that kicks in the summer after for half that transfer fee

in reality, the best fit is a fine line though. In reality, the guy could get a career ending injury on his first training session. So for me, i dont have a problem per-se with him getting the most money and the best contract possible. He will also go somewhere he thinks that he can win trophies and have a good career.

Ok, Newcastle's first goal...defending player commits a yellow card offence, but the ref waves play on as Newcastle are in on goal, and they duly score. Ref then goes back and books the player, it's a second yellow so he's off.

But, what happens if the Keeper saves it and before the next break in play, the player who committed the second bookable offence scores? Is that acceptable? I thought play was supposed to stop for a red card?

Edit:

See Law 12, part 3 of the IFAB Law Of The Game.

Advantage should not be applied in situations involving serious foul play, violent conduct or a second cautionable offence unless there is a clear opportunity to score a goal. The referee must send off the player when the ball is next out of play, but if the player plays the ball or challenges/interferes with an opponent, the referee will stop play, send off the player and restart with an indirect free kick, unless the player committed a more serious offence.

So, my take on this is that the ref plays on until a break in play or the player involved next interferes in play (ie, in the act of heading in a cross maybe?)??

Flick to leave Bayern at the end of the season.

Suggestions are he'll be Germany's next manager.

Tuchel to Bayern?

I thought it was an excellent bit of refereeing.

Mad that Schalke have been relegated from the Bundesliga. That’s quite a fall from grace.
