This US Open course looks brutal.

Had a few quid of Dustin Johnson and Jason Day

Woods Can't hit the ball straight!

How bad do the greens look?

Shocking for a major championship

I've never seen greens like it for a Major, you can't really tell where the fairway ends and the green starts.

They do at that

10+ for Tiger Poor bloke has just gone mentally, bizarre as he's supposed to be hitting well on the practice tee but gets on the course and it's all wrong.

3 of my picks in and around the lead which is good (so far!)

Amazing how years ago almost everyone thought he'd blitz Nicklaus' majors record. Looks highly unlikely he'll ever match it now.

Someone was saying on talksport the other day that they think woods is contractually obliged to play certain events, especially majors etc otherwise he'd just fuck it off

Could well be the case. Heard somewhere there's been a 15% drop off of people taking up golf which correlates to Tigers drop off.

I understand why Lowry is dressed all in black, but he must be melting out there.

Aye, tee to green he's been brilliant but not taking the chances will surely put pressure on especially seeing Rory suddenly appearing on the leaderboard

Shame Rory missed that birdie putt on the (i think it was the) 14th yesterday, he seemed to lose all momentum after that. Had it gone in you never know.

Unfortunately fell asleep at 1:30am yesterday and missed all the good bits. Anyone manage it?

Pretty incredible temperament on him for a 21 year old. He didn't start very well did he, hit his first few drives left and wasn't playing great but fair play to him. They kept saying yesterday he does exactly what Nicklaus used to do - just hang around near the top of the field and the other guys fall away.

I absolutely love the ball tracker thing they use btw I wish they had that for all events. Spieth hit a pretty outrageous looking draw on one of the holes and you could see it perfectly with the tracker. The way they consistently strike the ball is a bit mental really.

It's almost as if Johnson bumps a couple of lines coming down the stretch on day four of majors. Every. Single. Time.

Spieth looking awesome on course recently and Fowler doing well at the weekend......anyone fancy anything other than a US winner of the open this year?

Spieth looks like the clear favourite but I don't think it's a shoe-in for a US winner.

Handy little form guide

Nice link.

On that form guide the Johnsons (Dustin and Zach) could be a fair bet at 14/1 and 125/1 respectively.

What's the forecast?

The Scottish Open winners normally go very close.
