If you'd all been sensible enough to see the bigger picture back then and get behind Rafa he'd still be here. H&G couldn't find a way to force him out until you lot all turned on him. The second the fans turned he was gone in a flash.

If we'd backed him we'd still have one of the best managers in the world at the club, new owners, and positivity all around the club, Rafa would finally have been able to go for his first choice signings etc.

Instead we're in the worst shape since prior to Shankly and you're directly to blame for it

i never hounded him out, but i did come round to the idea it was time to move him on (though would have been happy enough if he'd stayed). i guess with the FORMER owners in charge it was a bad move, but let's be honest and say the real problem was hiring roy. i'd love to see benitez back, but not yet. i'd still like to have one proper go with an attacking manager.

Couldn't disagree more. The rot that has afflicted our club finally took its toll on Rafa's ability to get the players going last season. Just cos Roy is now clearly not the man to turn this around, doesn't mean that Rafa would have. I'd like him to come back, sure, but it went wrong for him too.

Oh pls. I didnt want him out either but it was time we let him go and there's a reason why he left too, He was unsure about how soon we'd get new owners. No one thot we'd get new owners this soon esp considering the circumstances that led us to getting new owners.
