For me here's some i enjoyed watching..........
Bergkamp
Zola
Viera
Schmeichel
Pires
Overmars
Roy Keane
Asprilla
I hated Keane, but I do miss the 'Keane v Vieira' battles. Those clashes were fantastic, and it of course culiminated in their 'tunnel confrontation'. Two absolutely top-class players, top class pros who had an unrivalled desire to win. Great stuff. Arsenal-Scum games aren't the same anymore without those two.

Ginola, Zola & Bergkamp.
And Shearer, he did what he does with great effect, and it annoyed the fuck out of me, but at the end of the day - I would have loved him to have played for us rather than against us.

And John Fashanu always scored on penos.
I actually miss Collymore. Him and Fowler together were electric for a season. Was that around 95-96 sometime?

Nobody mentioned Cantona.
I alwalys loved waiting for his post match "Seagull" orientated interviews or waiting to see which spectator he tried to decapitate next.

I'm sorry, but I cannot for the life of me understand how anyone could mention enjoying watching Schmeicheal or Cantona. I never enjoyed watching any of them play as they were United scum and any time they played well it was a VERY BAD THING to happen. I despised Schmeicheal and Cantona because they were top of the heap at a time when we were still a long way from it.

But ignoring the team he was playing for - Cantona was class, and the fact he could go from sublime natural skills to losing his rag and hoofing someone just made him more entertaining.
A few more...
Philipe Albert (classy sweeper), Tony Yeboah (when Leeds were good)
and who could forget.. Peter Beardsley!

I know he was class, but I could never ignore the team he played for. It just hurt too much. I wish I could....

Asprillia was quality.
Collymore would have been world class if he wasn't such a twat. He had everything that a forward needed apart from the attitude. He honestly could have been the English Ronaldo.

A mate of mine is a big Forest fan and, still to this day, he raves and raves about Collymore. Reckons he's the best player he ever saw blah blah blah.
Such a shame he never reproduced his Forest form for us.
Agree with Maestro too - how any Red can name Schmeichel and (especially) Cantona is beyond me. Cantona can go fuck himself up the arse anyway. The most overrated piece of shit ever to poison our league. Great against your Sunderlands, Sheff Uniteds and Swindons, what the fuck did he ever do in Europe or against the big sides? (And I mean consistently). Fuck all, that's what. He went missing time and time again on the biggest stages. The only time I remember him doing anything on a big stage was, unfortunately, in that horrible Cup final.
Totally and utterly overrated.

Fowler's problem was never his ability, it was his attitude. If you read his autobiography, it's clear that he could have been even better if he had anything remotely resembling a work ethic.

I am on the last couple of pages and from what I have gauged from the book it was clearly Ged and Thomo who were his major problem and not his attitude.
