Parry: Time to Focus on Footy

This is not the Liverpool we all know and love. It has never been our style to wash our dirty linen in public and it is never pleasant for anyone when it happens.

The sooner we can put all of this behind us and get back to the Liverpool Way the better. That's certainly not pointing the finger at anyone. It's a hard fact of life in football that any negative publicity quickly leads to further headlines and debate.

You learn to live with it. What really frustrates me is when outsiders start having a go. When this happens you know instinctively it's time to unite, draw some strength from our togetherness and get back on the rails.

We can argue amongst ourselves, but we can't change the club in the process.

I'm a fan like you. Always have been and always will be. I know how much our history and tradition means to you. We all want to be focusing on winning things. Instead, we have been embroiled in rows about other things.

Yet everyone has the same basic aim which is to make our club the best in the world. To that end, I'm pleased that we have taken an important step along the new stadium path.

Clearly, the revised design is very similar to the one unveiled in the summer, plans that excited every one of us. They are almost identical to the naked eye.

When we said we were revising things, perhaps there was a bit of consternation that we were somehow going back to the drawing board to make dramatic alterations. In fact, it was a case of looking at some costs to see if we could make them more efficient.

Could we look at some aspects of the build to make it work better without losing the impact of the design that had made it so special? That is exactly what has happened and our plans remain on course.

We plan to be ready for the summer of 2011. Work will commence this year. Obviously that will be an extremely positive and welcome step for everybody.

The review clearly created a bit of uncertainty as to whether it was going to happen. The answer is: "Yes it will." We all know how crucial the new build is to the ongoing progress of the club.

    ****

I would like to wish Momo Sissoko all the best following his move to Juventus. Rafael Benitez has good cover in midfield and we made a decent profit on the transfer. Lee Peltier has also departed, moving to Yeovil.

Slovakian defender Martin Skrtel has come in to provide options in central defence and it was interesting to see Sami Hyypia tipping him to shine after he has settled in at Anfield.

We want to be concentrating on the football again and there is a real determination to get back on track.

**** off Parry with your dozy "I'm a fan just like you" bollocks.

What a stooge. He is clearly towing the yank party line of using the "good news" re the stadium to mask all the doom and gloom.

Once the Americans are gone, this muppet needs to be the next one out the door.

i thought his job was to act in the best interests of Liverpool football club, but clearly that's been far from his agenda for a long while.

Be that as it may, I'm sick of this dozy cunt taking us for fools and trying to pull the wool over our eyes.

He can get to ****. I just think of his bollocks last year, when the bottom fell out of LFC when DIC walked away and we were stuck with these two lying *******s, and Parry comes out with his famous "trust us" ****e :whatever: Spin, spin, spin.

Parry, and Moores for that matter, sold us up the river through their incompetence, and because they wanted to maximise their personal returns and stay in the job. And even when he knows he's ****ed up, he's still trying to pull the wool over our eyes.

It concerns me greatly that in the corridors of power of the club, the only people on our side, the people we are relying on, are Parry and Moores. We are ****ed.

The biggest moment in the club's history, at the time when Parry was imploring us to "trust them", they ****ed it up, and even now he continues to try to pull the wool over our eyes.

As the only "fans" inside the club with any power he and Moores need to do their bit to get the Americans out. And once they've succeeded, both of them can fall on their swords for all I care.

I agree with almost everything except that we are ****ed. DIC will buy the club, it's only a question of when it will happen not if it will happen.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

We turned down Kraft, DIC, Lerner, Shinawatra and who knows who else and sold to G&H, brilliant business eh, or maybe not.

The Parry bashing is starting to resemble the Kuyt bashing.

is that actually true? That we turned down Kraft and Learner?

I thought Kraft's interest cooled rather than the other way around? And I didn't know about Learner being interested.

Either way, look at the recent takeovers in the Premier League, Aston Villa, Newcastle, Derby etc - they have been done without placing debts on the club and/or clearing outstanding debt. Except ours and the Glazers.

Could our board not see this coming, or did they simply choose to ignore the warning signs of Gillett not having any money of his own and Hicks being a cunt? Or perhaps they were dazzled by the expeditious and efficient three day due diligence? :whatever:

The difference is that Kuyt at least work his socks off for the best of the team, Parry don't. He work his socks to get what is best for himself.

Brilliant blocking of the loan or maybe not. For all their resistance the whole loan will be against the club. Another brilliant piece of business by Moores and Parry.

He could have blocked the loan and that means that G&H would now have been out, instead he bought another lie by G&H. In the end, he still have his job and that is the important thing for him.

He would of course have been sacked if he blocked the loan and that was probably the reason to why he didn't do it.
