Of course if, by some miracle, the rumours are right and DIC are genuinely in the frame, then talk of supporters unions and supporter takeovers might be making them nervous. This could be an attempt to calm everyone down and therefore DIC too.

But then, the whole DIC thing could be bollocks anyway.

Either way, no direct mention of G&H...

This is not the Liverpool we all know and love. It has never been our style to wash our dirty linen in public

        Back Stab 2
We can argue amongst ourselves, but we can't change the club in the process

        Back Stab 3
I know how much our history and tradition means to you

        Back Stab 4
We all want to be focusing on winning things. Instead, we have been embroiled in rows about other things.

        Back Stab 5
You learn to live with it.
this is exactly what i thought when i read the comments on teletext earlier - if i was hicks i'd definitly be having a "what the **** is that supposed to mean?" conversation with parry.

What a stooge. He is clearly towing the yank party line of using the "good news" re the stadium to mask all the doom and gloom.

Once the Americans are gone, this muppet needs to be the next one out the door.
Actually he is a lifelong fan, and as usual theres nothing really wrong with what he said. Thats not enough for some people though, so im expecting the usual barrage of personal insults that is almost bcoming the norm around here.

Correct, and very well thought of there, VERY well thought of. Most peoples attitude here is 'he's a cunt so there' all a bit pathetic realy.

If you read my post properly, you'll see that I pointed our what is wrong with what he said, namely that he is employing the tried and tested G&H tactic of burying bad news stories amongst the so-called "good news" about the new stadium. He is trying to pull the wool over our eyes, again.

Besides, look specifically at what Parry is telling us here. He is saying that this whole re-design process was simply about making the original HKS design more cost effective, thereby implying that no other design was on the agenda.
Yet if you believe what has been posted on here by RS4 and what has been reported in the press, everyone at the club was against this HKS design that was chosen apart from Hicks. Doesn't add up does it? That's because he is lying.

Well his career as an accountant and how he is perceived by his previous employers is of no real consequence. His record at Liverpool is there for all to say, and it consists of too many **** ups, and one in particular that could handicap the club for years to come and prove to be the most disastrous in the club's history

Yet if you believe what has been posted on here by RS4 and what has been reported in the press,......ahhhh, you see. You choose to believe one set of stuff as opposed to another, so your assuming it must be right all the time! The press? bloody hell thats not a good start (Rushies ok though, but as he himselof said, only passing on info he was told). Its all a bit circumstantial really.

It is circumstantial I agree, but if I had to choose between believing RS4's source (who I dont know from Adam and most likely got his info from someone else), or Rick Parry, I know who I'd sooner believe, and it's not Parry

RS4's source had good information on AFL. He said apparantly the vote was 15-1 against the HKS design but I doubt his source would actually know this because that is an internal LFC issue. Seeing both designs I would be surprised if it was slanted anything like that.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

From what I can see Rick Parry has played a key role in selling to the americans. This obviously means hes not everyones favourite character. But no one on here really knows whether it was a decision based on self preservation or not and no one knows how it would have turned out should they have decided to go with another investor. Roman Abramovich's so not grow on trees - hes clearly ****ing mental anyway...

In fact no one actually knows whats going to happen with the Yanks and Rick Parry. I remember listening to ****ing united fans when Glazer took over. It was strangest fit of histrionics ive ever seen. "Im stopping supporting the club, im no longer a fan" "im not buying merchandise anymore" "im taking myself off the season ticket list"....blah blah blah. All sounds so familiar - and look at them now, no one seems overly concerned as they sit on top of the table having spent millions in the transfer market do they? The same fans that were never watching them again sit there in there united tracksuits waving the star spangled banner watching them murder some mediocre team that we drew 1-1 with. is that the fault of Rick Parry?

Tom Hicks has made a pigs ear of things - and hes clearly a bit of a cunt - which is a massive shame and rick parry has to acceot that he will be hard pushed to ever be popular at LFC again, but all this ****e above is all bollox in my view.

They didnt make a massive transfer investment, but we did end up with one of the greatest forwards in the world and perhaps one expected to get there as well - weve also scraped together the 15million neded for Mascherano...and broken our record fee for a defender along with many other players at benitez's request. he could have stopped buying lots of cheap players and kittied up for another torres fee - but thats down to the manager not rick parry. I think a look at rafas confidence sapping rotation and transfer policy should be equally under scrutiny. If we were top of the league and un-defeated there really wouldnt be this reaction - even if hicks had asked fergie to be an insurance policy.

The owners must surely appreciate that they need to invest in the team in order to maximise their earnings - football is a business these days and its about time people realised it.

Fans cant just buy the club, we cant force the americans to sell, we cant do much other than stop rinsing our dirty keks in public and getting back behind the team. Sorry im not with the majority on this one, but i dont like wasting my time with futile causes - its not the end of the club and its history - its just a case of what will be will be right now and i wish people would stop pretending to be these big football fundementalists that are going to force these billionaires to sell the club....
