Three attacking players that would significantly transform us

We've drawn a ****load of games this season and this has been our downfall and the reason why we're languishing in the Premiership behind the other three. We haven't been as solid at the back as in recent seasons (only Utd conceeded less and we've let in exactly the same number of goals as Chelsea), but we are still pretty defensively sound.

In Torres, we have an outstanding striker with better to hopefully come and we've actually scored more goals than Chelsea.

The question is what players would completely transform us into a more potent attacking outfit and the ability to turn these draws into three points?

    (right winger/attacker)---Gerrard---Masch---(left winger/attacker)
    ------------------Torres----(striker/playmaker)------------------

The above formation is subject to change, as we all know Rafa likes to change things around depending on the opposition.

With regards to central midfield, Lucas has made a decent start to his Anfield career, while Xabi has lost his way slightly and could possiblly be off in the summer.

Personally don't think Kewell or Pennant are any way near good enough. Neither contribute in goals. Kewell has the talent, but unfortunately his injuries have got the better of him. Pennant, I've personally never rated.

Babel and Benayoun are better options, but neither look particulary comfortable on the flanks and are suited for more central positions. I've said this before, but I see something very special in Babel. We'll have to be patient with him though. Both provide us with a bigger goal threat when in the team.

We need better attacking full backs, but that's another discussion altogether.

It's not good because it's rude. It's good because it looks like it's good because it's rude.

                David Silva
                Goran Pandev

Pandev would fit an Elano type role, while he could operate slightly higher aswell.
I've been impressed with Petrov at city, and looking back would have been perfect as I think we were interested.

My only worry about Silva is that he could be too lightweight, especially for tracking back against the big boys, but as for skill and ability he's got it there in spades.
Joe Cole, tricky little f*cker who's done us more than I care to remember.
Depending on how the season pans out, Silva especially could be a potential bargain if Valencia finish outside the CL spots, though competition would be immense

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

i just mentioned capel in another thread but alpha's shout of jonas would work for me too on the left, but i prefer capel

                          diego capel on the left

                          karim benzema up front

david silva on the right (capel and silva can swap sides during the match, i like the idea of having one winger who can come inside

                          sorted

too bad those 3 players will cost more than our budget for the next 2 windows

                              Dimitar Berbatov

The first two may not be big household names but they would make a massive difference to our offensive play imo. Assists and goals galore.
Berba up front would be the perfect foil for Torres.
