    Quaresma, Alvez and Villa.

All would offer a goal threat and we'd at last have some decent width with Quaresma and Alvez on the wings
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

      Babel

      and Nemeth

There's nothing wrong with the squad apart from it being too big. Play your best 11 and let them get an understanding. Get yourself 3-0 up then rotate

There seems to be lots of things wrong with the squad. I agree we need a partner for Torres, and 2 good wide players. As much as I like Benayoun, is he the answer? Maybe with another decent wide player, but they need to be quick, direct, and can beat a defender without thinking about it. Being in Oz, I haven't seen much of Babel. Sometimes he looks good, other times he looks average. But he hasn't been given much of a chance, which is surprising seeing how much he cost us. Is he the answer to one of our wide players, or partner to Torres?

But I think a major problem is our defence. Not the defending part, which is as good as most teams. But the attacking part. The distribution from the back from all of them is awful - just hoof it upfield most of the time! And the full-backs don't support our attacking play anywhere near enough. Look at the top 3 teams and they all have athletic attacking full-backs, and for that matter good quick attacking wide players who are comfortable on the ball.

So I don't think it's as easy as just going out and buying 2 or 3 more players to make us into a better team. Not unless our defence can suddenly learn how to play out of defence properly and help with the attacks. Are the current defenders in the squad capable of this?? It's at times like this, looking back, when you realise how much we have missed Agger!!
