IMHO he wont reach the class of Rooney, that a very tall order indeed.
I don't care how good he is... Under Wenger stewardship he'll undoubtably improve.
What fucker said Pennant

It was Francis Jeffers.

Rooney hasnt acheived those dizzy heights just yet. Certainly he seems to have hit a very difficult patch.
Walcott htough looks superb. The pace and the finish..the new Henry?
Walcott's goals last nights were carbon copies of some of Owen's early goals for Liverpool. They do appear to be fairly similar in build too.
I wonder if Theo will ultimately suffer the same types of injuries that have curtailed Owen's pace and career.

Cue someone saying : Or shitting on the club that gave him all his breaks bla bla fuckedy bla di bla
It was Francis Jeffers.
That was the strangest of all Wenger's buys for me. And probably the cause of Wenger's predilection of the foreign market.

Must say watching his goals did remind me owen alot. But i think the right back Richards is just a good a prospect and is already experiencing prem football at Man City.
What impressed me most about Walcott was that he was actually well spoken, and didn't try to speak like a blinged-up-gangster*

At the time I thought it was a great buy. A lot of money but the season before Jeffers had looked fantastic for Everton, who were as is usually the case otherwise go awful. Looked like the sort of player they needed - pacy, incisive and predatory in the box. It appears he never really had the mental qualities to kick on and become a really good player, a shame really.

Not at all. I've held a deep loathing for the little rat since the second he kicked off with Westerveld, in the Derby.
Remember Westerveld saying that if he sent off first, he would have waited for him in the tunnel
Now that's a mis-match!

This little twat was so hated he even got his nose broke by a everton fan while he was at everton. Story I heard was he was in a boozer somewhere round scotty road and threw a pound coin on the floor in front of some fella and sai "here y`are yer bum". Needless to say the fella made short work of knocking the little twats lights out:handshake:
