Wozniacki wearing Gerrard shirt on court

Caroline Wozniacki displays passion for Liverpool by wearing Steven Gerrard signed shirt on court
World No 1 Caroline Wozniacki carried out her Twitter vow by sporting a Liverpool shirt on court at the Qatar Open.

The Dane has long made it known of her passion for Liverpool FC and fans have been urging her to back up her words with an on-court display of affection for Kenny Dalglish's men.

Wozniacki felt yesterday was the appropriate time to put on the Liverpool shirt as the club prepared for last night's Europa League clash with Sparta Prague.

'Got so many comments about the Liverpool jersey and to step out on court with it.. So why not,' she Tweeted on Thursday morning.

The shirt proved to be a lucky charm as she reeled off 12 games in a row to beat Italian Flavia Pennetta 6-2, 6-0.

Wozniacki is 10-1 on with Ladbrokes that she dates a current Liverpool player before the end of the year and 25-1 that she buys a property in the city.

I absolutely loved it. Wish there were more celebrities that claim to be LFC fans that can openly express thier devotion to the club.

            Well done Caroline.

Nice little bit of publicity for the club, when has this ever happened before.....a top player, playing in a top sporting event, wearing a different sporting kit to the sport she takes part in..ok it's just a football shirt but you get my meaning ?

Pity she did'nt go for the shorts and socks too.

                  The girl done good.

Definitely. It would be great to see more publicity of that kind.

For Caroline, JWH should send her an invitation to be a special guest on one of the upcoming matches (I'm actually going to tweet him on that this).
