Hmm, yeah, possibly, although I can't think it's worth that much to us. I'd have thought global TV audiences football dwarf those for tennis. The shirt is pretty much "out there" as it is. Plus the reason it was all over the news yesterday is because it was a one-off and, quite possibly, because she chose to wear it rather than getting paid for it. Future coverage would be minimal, not least because if she's only wearing it at the warm-up, it's only going to be hardcore tennis fans who will watch. OK, hardcore tennis fans and lecherous middle-aged men like me and, seemingly, PaddyPool.

    OK, offer maybe £30-40k.

I'm sure it would be worth a lot more to Standard Chartered but if they're going to pay her a commercial fee they'd be better off sponsoring her direct without the distraction of the LFC associations being dominant.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

No it's not. All publicity is good publicity so there.

What? It's a football club, not an X-Factor celebrity.

It's ultimately a business that needs to generate money to buy players and pay wages albeit with a different emotional connection than most other businesses.

And getting celebrities to endorse it will have any effect on revenues?

                        It's not shampoo.

                        Although we are worth it.

Who knows, but there's no down side to finding out.

                              Not really a reason TBH.

Maybe she can play for us, can't be any worse than Kuyt, N'gog, Maxi or Cole.
