it's strange how we have mascherano--best dm in the business so everyone tells me--and we never hit upon the idea of playing him behind 2 am's. what would be the problem with playing mascher, gerrard and aquilani with two wingers and torres? i mean, ok, aquilani hasn't been great shakes, and we have only one genuine winger, but maxi and riera could be a good shout.

rafa wouldn't do that aside, i'm surprised there hasn't been any sort of outcry to rejig the formation based on the players we do have rather than shoehorning the players we have into an old formation...

I think that was the plan this season, but the Aquilani situation didn't work out the way he wanted. The Lucas/Masch pairing is ****ing dog**** and needs to be binned, but given the teams position, I can see the Lucas/Masch dog**** pairing continue to the end of the season. However, I wouldn't have wingers in that formation but three strikers.

i really don't know what to say ****ing lille away in a ****e cup - we'll scrape a 0-0 maybe even nick an away goal - we will bore them to death so much so that even channel 5 will refuse to show the second leg,

I'd like to think we would see a few positive changes -in realtiy it will be the same dross as last night, the previous rounds, the fac cup games etc - players putting in the bare minimum shift to scrape through.

I'd rather go out with the below line, have a ****ing crack at it and get beat say 3-2 than have to sit through another gutless pile of wank
