    Joleon Lescott

    I've seen this lad about half a dozen times for everton this season (on t'internet and sky) and he's been sensational.
    Just listening to the Radio City phone in and some blues are touting him for England - and I've got to agree with them. He may not dislodge Terry and Plug but he should deffo be in the squad. Plus he can play equally as well at left-back.

    I don't expect many of you to agree or even acknowledge this thread but don't care. Lescott has been superb this season.

    mmmm .... I don't agree. He's not a bad player but he's playing for a **** team. So, he's average at best.

      I went to the derby at woodison earlier in the season and was quite impressed with him. He was one of their better players on the day. I haven't seen much of him other than that to be fair though. If Andy Johnson can get a game for England though then you never know, eh?

            Lescott is amazing, he would probably be in the England team if he didn't get injured and was out for over a season. I have said that we should have bought him in the summer.
            I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

              I agree that he has been excellent this season and the fact he can pla happily at LB is a real benefit. However he reminds me a bit of how people got excited when Wes Brown first broke through, lots of potential, played well for a bit but got over hyped and into the England squad too soon. I would like to see him allowed to develop in the Premiership for another season before being moved into the England squad.

                  Why do you say that? I met him quite a bit when he was playing for Wolves and he always seemed like a nice guy, I have been watching him since he was about 18 and he always looked a future England player.

                    Admittedly I've never met him. A girl I know used to go out with him. Or rather, he was cheating on his fiancee with my mate. All the girls at work had a big night out with Lescott and 'his homies' :whatever: and based on what they said about him he sounds like a first-class prick.

                    I read some of his text messages to my mate and you'd be forgiven for thinking a 7 year old with learning difficulties had written them.

                    All nothing to do with his footballing ability of course.

                          I think Agger is a great signing!

                          I'd have him over Lescott any time. The reason why I compared them is because the prices were similar.
