West Ham Complete signing of Boa Morte

West Ham have completed the signing of Fulham winger Luis Boa Morte.

Boa Morte arrives at Upton Park for an undisclosed fee and has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at the club.

The Portuguese international successfully passed a medical and agreed personal terms at West Ham on Thursday.

The former Arsenal man is Alan Curbishley's first signing at Upton Park as he looks to rebuild the side.

Fulham boss Chris Coleman admitted he was disappointed to lose his skipper Boa Morte.

"I am of course disappointed that Luis has decided his future is not with Fulham FC," Coleman told the club's official website.

"He has been a great servant to the club and we all wish him well.

"However, I have always said that if a player is not happy playing for this club and expresses a desire to go, then I would be prepared to let him leave; and this was the case with Luis.

"Having discussed this with the chairman and the managing director, we believe it is in the best interest of the club to invest in players who are prepared to commit their future to us.

"We will continue to add strength and depth this window and, if necessary, the next to ensure that we have a strong enough squad of players for the future to enable us to push on as a club, which remains our ambition."

We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

I wouldn't have thought West Ham needed another attacking player. They seem to be having more problem keeping them out rather than scoring them.

It looks like Curbishley has been given money and is looking to spend it.
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

I think they just need someone who will halp their ball retention and be a leader. Boa Morte seemed to do a good job as captain at Fulham. I expect that they will also try to sign some defenders, but I think that it is a good signing for them.

What for the love of god does he want to go to Ice Ham Utd for. He was captain of Fulham and in a safe club. Ice Ham could go down
