    Nicked from a Fulham site

"Does anyone think that Chelsea's nickname of "the Blues" is a bit dull? -- I mean, "the Blues"? Yawn.

The other night I was at a Stamford AFC game, and discovered that their nickname is "The Daniels". Curious, I looked it up...

"Their nickname is The Daniels, in references to Daniel Lambert, the reputed fattest man in English history, who is buried in the town."

This inspired me to suggest to our beloved neighbours that they follow a similar principle to come up with an inspiring, original, and quirky nickname.

Hopefully they'll adopt it, and I look forward to our next derby game against The Franks."

Cheered me up a bit anyway.

Actually he is buried under the town. All of it.
      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
