Is their interest in most players genuine?

I see they have offered £8m plus for the Watford winger AND it seems Spurs are in the two horse race for £8m left back Gareth Bale.

Is it really the case that they have more money than us?

Spurs have a very rich owner.

They offered £25m for Torres 18 months ago so it looks like he is prepared to spend a lot of money to strenghten the team.

But surely West Ham cannot have more than us

It all comes down to how much the owner is prepared to spend on the team.

Moores isn't prepared to spend more or less anything himself on the team for example.

West Ham's new owner is prepared to pay for the players himself.

The club won't make any profit but they are prepared to strenghten the team anyway.

West Ham have just been taken over by some Icelander so they are a bit cash happy at the moment.

Spurs have got rich owners but are probably spending some of the Carrick money.
